TV Anime "Golden Kamui" Announces Additional Cast Members! Hochu Otsuka as Lieutenant Tsurumi, Kenjiro Tsuda as Hyakunosuke Ogata, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Genjiro Tanigaki

The TV anime "Golden Kamui," scheduled to air from April 2018, has announced the third part of its cast information, and cast comments have arrived. In addition, additional cast members have been announced for the stage to be held at AnimeJapan 2018 on March 24 (Sat).

Golden Kamui" is a popular comic series by Satoru Noda serialized in Weekly Young Jump, set in Hokkaido at the end of the Meiji Era. The story follows the adventures of a former army soldier, Saichi Sugimoto, and an Ainu girl, Ashi (Ri-pa), who are after Ainu buried treasure. The film is also a work of historical entertainment, with realistic depictions of Ainu culture, customs, and cuisine.Directed by Hittoshi Namba of "Fate/Grand Order -First Order-," with series composition by Noboru Takagi of "Kuroko no Basketball" and character design by Kenichi Onuki, character animation director for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blood Orphens. Production will be handled by Geno Studio of "Slaughterhouse Organ".

The third part of the cast information has been released this time. The three cast members announced are Hochu Otsuka as Lieutenant Tsurumi, Kenjiro Tsuda as Hyakunosuke Ogata, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Genjiro Tanigaki. It was also announced that Kenjiro Tsuda (as Hyakunosuke Ogata) will make an additional appearance on the TV anime "Golden Kamui" stage at AnimeJapan 2018 on Saturday, March 24.

I always get excited when I encounter a new character.
I get excited just thinking about what kind of lines they will speak and with what kind of facial expressions, what kind of characteristics they will have in their movements, and what their personalities will be like.
I have only just received an outline of the character, so I can only imagine what he will be like, but I am intrigued by his eccentricity, brutality, intrigue, scheming, and so on.
As a performer, I think the character is so fascinating that it makes me want to tremble.
The Russo-Japanese War is a new historical setting, and I have high expectations that I will be able to enjoy this play.

Kenjiro Tsuda (Hyakunosuke Ogata):

I'm very happy to be able to participate in the anime with the powerful story, unique characters, and energy of the original world.
I am very happy to play the role of the cool sniper Ogata Momonosuke.

<Introduction
The stage is set in the noble northern land of Hokkaido!
Survival of the Ainu people over the stolen gold nuggets is about to begin!

It is the late Meiji Era. Saichi Sugimoto, a hero of the Russo-Japanese War, nicknamed "Sugimoto the Immortal," is in Hokkaido to obtain a large amount of gold for a certain purpose. Then, he is offered a chance to get rich from the huge reserves of gold stolen from the Ainu people. The gold is hidden by a man imprisoned in Abashiri Prison, and the tattoos on the bodies of 24 escaped prisoners are said to be clues to its whereabouts.
Then, Sugimoto is attacked by a brown bear, but an Ainu girl saves him. The girl, whose name is Asipa, had her father killed by the man who took the buried gold. In response to Sugimoto's actions, the 7th Division, the most powerful military unit in the north, and escaped prisoners with tattoos, who have been plotting to steal the buried gold, also begin to move. What will become of the get-rich-quick survival that has been taking place in the majestic northern lands?
