SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]'s 6th single "Binary Star/Cage" will be released on April 25! OP theme of "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These KAIKOU"!

Popular play accompaniment artist Hiroyuki Sawano's vocal project SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]'s new single "Binary Star/Cage" will be released on Wednesday, April 25.

Hiroyuki Sawano is a popular theatrical accompaniment artist who has created theatrical accompaniment music for many hit anime works, including "Shinkage no Kyojin," "Blue Exorcist," "Mobile Suit Gundam UC," and "The Seven Deadly Sins.

The release of his new single was announced during the MC of SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]'s one-man live concert held at Zepp DiverCity (Tokyo) for two days starting today, February 5 (Monday). The new single, the sixth in total, is a double A-side single titled "Binary Star/Cage" and will be released on April 25 (Wed.).

The new song "Binary Star" is the opening theme for the TV anime "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These KAIKOU" which will start airing from this April. The vocalist is Uru, a remarkable female singer who sang "Kiseki", the theme song of the TV drama "Kounodori", and "Freesia", the ending theme of the TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphens", and who just released her first album "Monochrome" in December last year. The other title song will be "Freesia," the ending theme song for "Orphens.

The other title track is a new song, "Cage," which was announced as the theme song for the "Full-Size Unicorn Gundam Standing Statue" in Odaiba, but its release was undecided.

The audience cheered loudly for the participation in the historical masterpiece "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes." Sawano commented on the opening song, "This is the first time for [nZk] to create a ballad as the opening theme song. I hope you enjoy it along with the world view of "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These KAIKOU"! said the director.

It was also announced that "Hiroyuki Sawano LIVE [nZk]005," Hiroyuki Sawano's fifth solo live concert as a playwright, will be held on May 13 (Sun) this year at the Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall.

The ending theme of "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These KAIKOU" will be performed by ELISA, known for the ending theme of the TV anime "Magical High School Lesser Students" and the theme song of the anime movie "Expelled from Paradise. The theme song will be sung by ELISA.

When I heard "Binary Star" when I was asked to sing it, I felt a sense of spacey size in my ears that seemed to spread out to all directions. The song has an atmosphere that I have never sung before, and I feel as if it brought out a different side of me.
