Pre-orders for the "Mobile Suit Gundam x Gild design iPhone X case" have started at Bandai's official mail order site "KIWAMONOWEB".

Ltd. has started accepting reservations for the " Mobile Suit Gundam x Gild design iPhone X case " (16,200 yen including tax, excluding shipping and handling fees) at "KIWAMONOWEB," Bandai's official mail order site.

In collaboration with "GILD design," a manufacturer that boasts top-class domestic technology in products using the high-quality duralumin material "A2017," this iPhone X case has been carved out of the emblem of the symbolic Principality of Zeon that appears in "Mobile Suit Gundam.

The lineup includes two types of cases, Zeon Black and Zeon Red, with the bumper part made of duralumin material "A2017" and the panel part made of aluminum alloy material "A5052.
One of the product features is that the bumper and panel are separate, allowing the panel to be attached or detached depending on the usage scenario, making it a flexible specification.
The cutting parts are manufactured by cutting out one part at a time with special engraving equipment. A blade with a cutting edge of 0.2 mm (circular arc) is attached to the engraving equipment, and while rotating at 10,000 rpm, only 0.05 mm of the cutting edge is used to shave the emblem in extremely fine detail. This precision and strong attention to detail have achieved a three-dimensional effect and processing strength that cannot be reproduced by printing.
The "exquisite contrast" between the coloring by anodizing and the duralumin base color (silver) by engraving. Lightness" and "texture" that can be recognized only when you hold it in your hand. The presence of the carved emblem is the ultimate product.

The iPhone X compatible solid bumper can be charged with a Qi-compatible wireless charger. [Note 1]
Wireless charging is not available when the bumper is equipped with the aluminum alloy "A5052" panel.
(It is recommended to use the genuine Lightning cable that comes with the iPhone.)

[Note 1] The thickness of the bumper will cause the iPhone to be 1.5mm away from the Qi-supporting wireless charger. Charging efficiency may be slightly lower than when the iPhone is in close contact with the Qi compatible wireless charger.
Charging time may also vary depending on the output wattage and adapter voltage of the Qi-enabled wireless charger used.

Product delivery is scheduled for March 2018. Pre-orders should be made as early as possible, as the product may be discontinued once the prepared quantity is reached.
