Anime "Gegege no Kitaro", new poster visual released! Screening event decided & 7 theatrical films will be distributed for free!

Gegege no Kitaro" (6th season), which will be the sixth anime adaptation in the 50th anniversary year of the anime series, will begin broadcasting on April 1 (Sun.), and a new poster visual has been released. In addition, the world's fastest first-episode advance screening event and free distribution of seven films at theaters have been decided.

Gegege no Kitaro" is a popular anime based on the late Shigeru Mizuki's manga, which has been animated five times and "Graveyard Kitaro," a faithful adaptation of the original manga, has also been produced. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the animated version of "Gegege no Kitaro," and the sixth series, which will air on Sunday, April 1, 2018, centers on Mana, a 13-year-old girl who writes a letter to the Yokai Post, and Kitaro and the other Yokai in an attempt to deal with a situation that science has been unable to solve. The story revolves around Mana, a 13-year-old girl who wrote a letter to the Yokai Post, and Kitaro and other yokai.

The role of Kitaro will be played by Miyuki Sawashiro, Masako Nozawa, Toshio Furukawa, and Umeika Shouji, and a new character, Mana Inuyama, will be played by Yukiyo Fujii.

The sixth season of the TV anime will begin airing on April 1 (Sun.), and the second visual for this production has been released.
The second visual of the new human girl, Mana Inuyama, is surrounded by the well-known Kitaro family, giving it a royal look. The eyeballs floating on the full moon are also noteworthy.

An advance screening of the first episode will be held in Chofu City, the town of Gegege no Kitaro, where Mr. Mizuki used to live, as the world's first opportunity to see the episode prior to its broadcast.
Masako Nozawa, who plays Oyaji Medama, and Yukiyo Fujii, who plays Mana Inuyama, are scheduled to appear on stage and give a special talk, so please be sure to apply.

In addition, to commemorate the start of the new series, the seven theatrical works from the third and fourth seasons of "Gegege no Kitaro" will be distributed free of charge for seven consecutive weeks starting today, February 16 (Friday) on Toei Animation's 60th Anniversary Channel.
