Announcing the launch of the official fan club "Cherii"! Erii Yamazaki Concept Concert 2018 "millefeuille harmony" report!

Erii Yamazaki, voice actress and artist, held her second live concert "Concept Concert 2018 'millefeuille harmony'" at EX THEATER ROPPONGI in Tokyo on Saturday, February 11.

In November 2016, they released their debut album "It's all your fault. and her first single "Jyusai Symphony" on April 19, 2017, and held her first solo concert at The Garden Hall in Ebisu on April 30, 2017.
Her second one-man concert was held as a concept concert.
The concept, which was kept under wraps until the day of the event, consisted of a set list of her favorite Showa-era songs and original songs, layered like mille-feuille, as the concert title suggests.

Before the show began, the venue was filled with the background music of Wink, Iyo Matsumoto, Chisato Moritaka, and others, and any intuitive fan could have guessed at this point what the concert was going to be like.
Before the concert began, Ms. Yamazaki herself announced the concept of the concert, "For the second concert, I would like to present a mille-feuille-like mix of songs by my favorite Showa artists and those of Erii Yamazaki," and finally she appeared on stage. The first song of the day was chosen by the audience.

The first song chosen for the day was "Natsu no Tobira" by Seiko Matsuda. When the audience called out "Erii" between songs, Ms. Yamazaki couldn't help but smile. Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! The audience responded to her request by joining in with her in the second part of the song, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of idol concerts of yesteryear.

The next song was "Alice*Contact," one of her own songs. The audience was immediately impressed by the mille-feuille atmosphere unique to this live performance, as they performed both Showa and their own songs in succession. Yamazaki struck a rabbit pose for the last song, followed by Pink Lady's representative song "Inspector Pepper. Her voice was cool, a complete change from "Alice*Contact," and her dance moves were perfect, giving her a slightly mature and sexy look, but she decided on the last song, "It's Inspector Pepper," in a cute way.

After the three songs, the first MC of the day interrupted.
The first MC of the day was interspersed with "Erii! Yamazaki said he was very happy to hear the calls, but until the show began, he was worried about whether the fans would follow him because of all the Showa-era songs. Still, as this was a special one-night-only concert, he asked those who did not know the songs to "surrender themselves to the Showa era. The fans who knew the songs were excited by the unique calls, and those who did not know the songs enjoyed watching Ms. Yamazaki perform her favorite songs, and seemed to have her favorite songs memorized in their ears.

Ms. Yamazaki prefaced her performance with the words, "This is a little bit dark corner." She performed "Empty Puppets," Akina Nakamori's "DESIRE -Passion-," and "Lunatic Romance.
With a cool voice full of adult charm, she sang "Kuppo no Puppet," a song about an emotionless girl who gradually develops feelings, and "DESIRE -Passion-," in a mature tone, as if she were whispering to the audience. The audience naturally responded with chants of "Ha-dokko! She said during the MC after the show that she was so happy to hear this call that she almost laughed. After a song filled with "Showa-ness," the band launched into "Lunatic Romance," performed with stand-up microphones, and the tambourine she played seemed to heat up the audience.

The next corner was a session with a piano player, which started with Yamazaki's own words, "I'm going to try something for the first time.
He expressed some anxiety, saying that he had only been able to play with the piano player twice before the performance, but once it started, he was able to put all his fears to rest. Just as she sang "Koi no Vacance" by the twin duo The Peanuts while sitting on a stool, she performed "Ame to Majiku" with an umbrella in her hand, something she had wanted to do since the recording session. She then sang Seiko Matsuda's "Tenshi no Wink" with a clear voice. Tenshi no Wink" is a song she sang in the preliminary round of the "Horipro Talent Scout Caravan," the audition that led to her debut, and "a song I have cherished since childhood," she said.

The live performance took a short break when Ms. Yamazaki left the stage for a costume change.
At the first concert, Ms. Yamazaki herself gave a talk about her career, but this time she read from her original fairy tale "Cherii's Story," which she said was the first story she had written herself. The fairy tale, featuring the original character Chou-Chou, a poodle, a fairy, and a witch, made full use of sound and lighting to match the story and beautifully expressed the worldview she had created.

Ms. Yamazaki reappeared on stage wearing a pink gingham check outfit, which she described as the "loveliest outfit" she had ever worn. While singing "Valentine's Kiss" by Sayuri Kunio, she presented the audience with original chocolates she had made for the occasion from a bag in her hand. The audience was delighted by the chocolate. The audience cheered loudly as Ms. Yamazaki paraded around the venue.

Returning to the stage, she performed two of her own songs, "Dreamy Princess" and "Donut Girl. The sweetness of her pink costume fit perfectly with the lineup.
The band also performed "S・O・S," a Pink Lady song with a cute wolf dance, and Shizuka Kudo's "MUGO・n...色っぽい" to showcase the best parts of Showa-era songs.

Before heading into the last song of the night, the launch of the "Cherii" fan club was announced.
Ms. Yamazaki said that she came up with the name of the fan club herself. "Cherii" means "my darling" in French, and since "eri", which is close to her own name, was included in "Cheri", she added an "i" to it and named the fan club "Cherii". As the name suggests, he expressed his enthusiasm for the club to become "a place where people who love Erii can gather" and feel connected to each other even when there are no live performances.

The final song, "Zi-Gu-Za-Gu Emotions," brought the show to a close with the audience enjoying a choreography lesson from Ms. Yamazaki.

The encore, which was nudged by calls for "Erii," was performed in an outfit modeled after the character "Shush," who had also appeared in the reading performance earlier. The pink, fluffy skirt had a tail, making it look as if Chou-Chou had appeared anthropomorphically. The audience's eyes were on her as she performed the lead song from her first album, "It's All Your Fault. The final song was "Pearl tears," for which she wrote the lyrics for the first time, and she closed the second concert by once again conveying her vision of the world to the audience, as in the lyrics "I'm going to play the harmony dedicated to you.

The second concert was a mille-feuille of songs by Yamazaki's favorite Showa artists and her own compositions. It was a concert of joy for both herself and her fans.
