Golden Kamui" Announces Additional Cast Members! Joji Nakata will play the role of Toshizo Hijikata, Kenji Nomura will play Tatsuma Ushiyama, and Takayuki Sugo will play Shinpachi Nagakura!

The fourth cast information from the TV anime "Golden Kamui," scheduled to air in April 2018, has been announced.

Golden Kamui" is a popular comic currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump by Satoru Noda. Set in Hokkaido at the end of the Meiji Era, the story follows the adventures of a former army soldier, Saichi Sugimoto, and an Ainu girl, Ashi (Ri-pa), who are after the buried treasure of the Ainu people. The film also features realistic depictions of Ainu culture, customs, and cuisine, making it an enjoyable piece of historical entertainment. Directed by Hittoshi Namba of "Fate/Grand Order -First Order-," with series composition by Noboru Takagi of "Kuroko no Basketball" and character design by Kenichi Onuki, character animation director for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blood Orphens. Production will be handled by Geno Studio of "Slaughterhouse Organ".

The fourth part of the cast information has been released this time. The three cast members announced are Joji Nakata, who plays the role of Toshizo Hijikata, Kenji Nomura, who plays the role of Tatsuma Ushiyama, and Takayuki Sugo, who plays the role of Shinpachi Nagakura.

What is this original work?
It's really interesting! And the PV is cool too!
The characters are very strong and the setting is very good. The characters are strong and the setting is well done. The support from the research in Hokkaido during the Meiji period adds persuasiveness and realism to the ridiculous characters.
Likewise, Hijikata Toshizo is a fascinating old man with a new charm.
I will do my best not to be buried among the characters with strong personalities.

Kenji Nomura (as Tatsuma Ushiyama)

He is truly a man who lives by instinct...well, a man, so I have a feeling it will be a lot of fun!

Takayuki Sugo (Shinpachi Nagakura)

I am thrilled to be playing the role of Nagakura Shinpachi in the Shinsengumi, which I have been familiar with since I was a child.
I can't stop talking about the Shinsengumi, including Ryotaro Shiba's "Burning Sword" and the dramatization of "Shinsengumi Kofuroku" (Blood Record).

Character Introductions

Toshizo Hijikata CV: Joji Nakata

Former "Oni no XO" of the Shinsengumi. He was believed to have been killed in the Hakodate War in 1869, but he has been imprisoned as a political prisoner for more than 30 years. While imprisoned at Abashiri Prison, he became involved with a man who robbed the Ainu of their buried treasure, and led a group of tattooed prisoners to escape from prison. As if to succeed the Shinsengumi, which had been crushed in mid-stride, he prepared to launch a war for the independence of the Ezo region. Although he is already over 70 years old, his appearance is full of vigor and his swordsmanship shows no sign of decline.

Tatsuma Ushiyama CV: Kenji Nomura
A judoka known as "Ushiyama the Undefeated" for his 10-year undefeated streak. He has a strong body that he has developed through intense training since his active days, and his forehead, which is thick and raised like a hammer, is hard enough to bounce off a nail that is thrust at it. On the other hand, he has an uncontrollable and voracious sexual appetite, which sometimes becomes his undoing. His imprisonment in Abashiri Prison was triggered by his cuckolding his master's wife. He is one of the escaped prisoners with a tattoo, and joins Hijikata's gang when their interests coincide.

Shinpachi Nagakura CV: Takayuki Sugo

He is a master swordsman who is said to be the most skilled swordsman in the Shinsengumi. After the end of the Boshin War, he was in and out of Kabado Shuji Jigyo for swordsmanship training and seminars, where he was reunited with Hijikata for the first time in more than 20 years. After Hijikata escaped from prison, he supported him materially and emotionally, including procurement of funds and weapons. Although he is usually a gentle, good-natured old man, he is still a skilled swordsman, and once in battle, he can drown his opponents in a pool of blood with his tremendous swordsmanship. His nickname in his younger days, "Gamushin," comes from his nickname, "Gabushara Shinpachi," or "Gabushara Shinpachi," or "Gabushara.
