The TV anime "A Place Farther Than the Sky" has released an advance cut, synopsis, and preview video for episode 8.

Farther Than the Universe" is an original TV animation that depicts the adolescence of four girls who continue their journey to Antarctica, which is "farther than the universe," about 14,000 km away from Japan. Directed by Atsuko Ishizuka, series composition and script by Juki Hanada, and animation production by MADHOUSE, this is a highly anticipated new work by the "No Game, No Life" animation team, who have teamed up again.

The Penguin Manju-go finally sets sail from Fremantle for Antarctica. The sight of the penguins leaving the land and heading out to the open sea makes Kimari feel once again the vastness of the world. Kimari and her crew are exhausted from the many things they have to do on board, such as interviewing crew members, peeling a huge amount of potatoes, and training to improve their physical strength. Amidst the uncertainty of whether they will be able to make it tomorrow, another disaster strikes.

<STORY
It is a place farther away than the universe. Kimari, a.k.a. Tamaki Mari, a girl in her second year of high school who has always wanted to start something but has never been able to take the first step, meets Kobuchizawa Shirase, a girl who is aiming for the South Pole. Kimari is moved by Hose's refusal to give up, even when told that there is no way a high school student can go to the South Pole, and she vows to go with Hose to the South Pole. ......
