Gatchaman" is a cute cat! Science Ninja Squad Gatcha-nyan" presented on February 22, Cat's Day!

It was announced on February 22 (Cat's Day) that the popular "Gatchaman" anime of yesteryear will be reborn as "Science Ninja Squad Gatchaman.

Tatsunoko Productions, together with the Character Business Research Institute, will launch the "Science Ninja Team Gatchanyan" project to creatively produce "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" from a completely new perspective.

This project is the first phase of the "KuriEnya Project," a mash-up design lab in which various creators will transform famous IPs into cats. The project plans flexible development, including the creation of Gatchanyan character designs by various creators, various merchandising using these designs, and the production of new sensory video content.
The first character design was unveiled prior to the first announcement of project details on April 1, 2018.

The design revealed this time was created by Naomi Iwata, who in addition to creating picture books, illustrations, and characters, also works in video creation for children's programs, including directing "Pingu in the City," currently airing on NHK. Stay tuned for more news.
