Voice actress Rika Tachibana makes her solo debut with a mini-album of six colorful songs!

Voice actress Rika Tachibana, who has appeared in many anime and video games, including the role of Sae Kobayakawa in "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS," is making her debut as an artist. Her debut is a mini-album containing six songs. It is voluminous from the start, and is a work that demonstrates her versatility. The title "Flora" refers to the goddess of flowers in Roman mythology. As the name suggests, the concept of this album is one of "flowers.

The songs on the mini-album "Flora" are based on various flowers!

───Can you tell us how you are feeling now that you have made your solo debut?

Tachibana: I had never thought of making a solo debut as an artist, so I was surprised when I was asked, "Why don't you make your debut? I was so surprised when I was asked if I would like to make my debut. I was very grateful for the offer, and I wanted to give it a try! I thought, "I'd like to give it a try!

─ ─ And your debut album is a mini-album with 6 songs.

Tachibana: The staff proposed the idea of a mini-album, but I was surprised once again, thinking, "Is it really that extravagant of me to do something so extravagant? I was surprised once again (laughs). Of course, I was very happy, and I wanted to make a debut album that would allow the audience to experience various aspects of Rika Tachibana all at once.

I felt that there were six colorful songs on the album, each with a different tone.

Tachibana: Some of the songs were chosen by saying, "I like this one," while others were recommended by the staff. At first, I thought it would be hard to record six songs, but by the end, I enjoyed singing them so much that I was disappointed that the recording was already over.

─ ─ What did you put into the title of the album, "Flora"?

Tachibana: "Flora" means "goddess of flowers. When we decided to release a mini-album, I suggested that it should be one based on the concept of flowers. Each song has its own flower motif, and they were created with the language of flowers in mind. So I thought the title "Flora" would be perfect for the song, so I gave it to them.

─ ─ The first song "REALISTIC" is a cool song, and I felt it was a song about your determination to make your solo debut.

Tachibana Yes, that's right! The song straightforwardly expresses the feeling of moving forward, such as "I guess now is the time to win," and "Step out, REALISTIC. They are very powerful lyrics, and I think there is something about them that inspires me. I also have the impression that it is a song that I can sing now that I am an adult, and the lyrics are very raw in places. The lyrics are raw in places, such as "I already know the bitterness of tears," or "What happened to you until now? (laugh).

─ ─ The song expresses the fact that you have gone through many experiences to get to where you are now, doesn't it?

Tachibana: I think the cool thing about this song is that it uses the bitter experiences as food to move forward. The title "REALISTIC" means "realistic," and it is also very mature to have a dream while keeping an eye on reality. I was very happy to sing this song at the start of my solo career. It is a song that I will cherish for a long time to come.

─ The second song "Flaming Rose" is also a cool song.

Tachibana: If "REALISTIC" is hard and cool, "Flaming Rose" is feminine and cool. I imagine her as a dashing older lady walking down the street in high heels with a lot of make-up on. This song was a bit different from my own character, so I sang it as if it were a character song, thinking of the main character in the lyrics.

─ How did you like the third song, "Akai Anemone"?

Tachibana: This is another mature love song, and I had a lot of fun recording it. The part "I don't want neither a hug nor a kiss" made me think "wtf" (laughs). I wonder what kind of experiences the main character of this song has had. I wonder what kind of experiences the protagonist of this song has had. I hope she is not caught by a bad man," I sang the song while imagining various stories. I think that when a woman has sad and painful feelings in her heart, she has a certain sex appeal. I wanted to bring out that kind of atmosphere in the vocals.
