Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online" OP theme is "Ryusei" by Eir Aoi! A new commercial using the intro to the song has also been released.

Aoi Eir's new song "Ryusei" has been chosen as the OP theme for the TV anime "Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online," which will start airing in April 2018.

The anime is based on the novel by Reki Kawahara, winner of the 15th Dengeki Novel Award (Grand Prize), and follows the adventures of the main character Kirito in the mysterious next-generation online game "Sword Art Online". The second season aired from July to December 2014.

And on February 18, 2017, the anime movie "Sword Art Online the Movie -Ordinal Scale-," with a story written by Kawahara, was released. It was a huge hit in Japan, grossing 2.5 billion yen at the box office and drawing more than 1.77 million viewers. Furthermore, at the "Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2017" held in October 2017, the TV anime adaptations of "Sword Art Online Arisimation" and "Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online" were announced.

Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online" is another story of "Sword Art Online" written by Keiichi Shigurezawa of "Kino's Journey" fame, with tense and realistic battle scenes as the main attraction.
