Lupin the Third Part 5" will start airing on April 3! Inori Minase, Kenjiro Tsuda, and Nobunaga Shimazaki take on new characters.

The broadcast date and time for the TV anime "Lupin III Part 5" has been set for April 3, 2018 (Tuesday), and the cast of three new characters has also been revealed.

Lupin III Part 5" is the latest installment of the popular anime based on the manga by Monkey Punch. Set in France, where Lupin III and the world's greatest thief, Arsene Lupin, have their roots, the film depicts the activities of Lupin and his friends who make full use of the latest technology in today's digital society.

The series will be composed and written by Ichirou Okochi of "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" and "Kabaneri of the Iron Castle," directed by Yuichiro Yano, as in the previous film, and character design by Hisao Yokobori. Animation production will be handled by Telecom Animation Films.

The broadcast date and time of this work have now been determined. It will be broadcast sequentially on NTV and other stations from April 3, 2018 (Tuesday). In addition, the cast information of three new characters has been released!

The role of Ami, a genius hacker girl, will be played by Naruto, a high school girl heroine in the 2015 anime movie "Kokoro ga yokutta itagatteiru da" ("The Heart Wants to Cry"). The role of Ami, a genius hacker girl, will be played by Inori Minase, a popular young voice actress who won the Best Actress Award at the 10th Seiyu Awards for her portrayal of Jun Naruse, a high school girl heroine in the anime film "Kokoro ga Shoutarutte Gaketeru Natta da" released in 2015.

The role of Albert, a mysterious man who knows about Lupin's past, is played by Kenjiro Tsuda, who has garnered attention in a variety of genres, including dubbing for Kylo Ren in the "Star Wars" movies, radio personality, actor, and director.

The role of Yatagarasu Goro, a detective in the ICPO and Zenigata's subordinate, is played by the talented and handsome voice actor, Nobunaga Shimazaki, who has played many popular characters including Shinichi Izumi in "Parasite: Sei no Ritsu" and Kiyoshi Handa in "Handa-kun" and won the 7th "Voice Actor Award" for Best New Actor!

He joins the regular voice cast from the previous film to breathe new life into "Lupin the Third Part 5.

Furthermore, Ms. Minase, Ms. Tsuda, and Mr. Shimazaki, who will cast new characters, will participate in the TMS Entertainment booth and the NTV booth at Anime Japan 2018, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 24 (Sat.) and 25 (Sun.)!　More details will be announced later on the official website, so stay tuned for more information.

I am very honored to be able to participate in "Lupin the Third", which I have been watching since I was a child, as a subordinate of that Captain Zenigata.
To be honest, there is a lot of pressure on me, but I will not let it get me down and will do my best to chase and hunt down Lupin together with Inspector Zenigata. It will be thrilling and exciting, so please come and watch the movie.
