Ongaku Shoujo" is about the main character, Hanako Yamadaki (CV. Seria Fukagawa), and the 11-member cliffhanger idol unit "Ongaku Shoujo" belonging to "PINE RECORDS", and their struggle and growth as they aim for the top of the music world and become "legends".

The eleven members of "PINE RECORDS" are Hal Chitose, Eri Kumagai, Sarasa Ryuoh, Kiri Gei, Haori Gei, Sasame Minosaku, Mirai Nishio, Hiyo Yukino, Shup Gushiken, Kotoko Kintoki, and Roro Morooka, who are members of an idol unit named "Ongaku Shoujo. However, "Ongaku Shoujo" is a C-class idol that has not sold well at all.
Although "Ongaku Shoujo" is not selling well and is only generating losses, the producer Ikehashi and the members are trying their best to make it work.
Ikehashi thinks that "Ongaku Shoujo" needs a new member. An idol who can be the catalyst for success! So, he spends his time auditioning.
Then one day, the music girl and the main character, Hanako, meet...
