An anime adaptation of Megumi Hatanaka's "Tsukumogami" series of novels has been decided.

The anime adaptation of Hatanaka Megumi's novel series "Tsukumogami," a human-interest tale about the lives of "Tsukumogami," ancient tools that have become a kind of demon, and humans, is scheduled to air on NHK General TV every Sunday from 24:10 on July, 2018.

Directed by Masahiko Murata of "Shikabane Hime 赫" and "Baby Steps", series composition by Kento Shimoyama of "BLEACH", character design by Lily Hoshino of "Otome Yokai Zakuro", and animation production by "Chain Chronicle: Hexatus no Sen" and "LUPIN THE IIIRD: Tombstone of Daimon Daisuke Tsugumi," etc. Telecom Animation Film will be in charge of the animation production.

The cast has also been announced, with Junya Enoki playing Seiji, Mikako Komatsu playing Ohko, and Takahiro Sakurai playing Sataro.

A stage event featuring the cast will be held at the TMS Entertainment booth at AnimeJapan 2018, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 24 (Sat) and 25 (Sun) from 16:00 on March 24 (Sat). We hope you will come to the event.

<Introduction
In Fukagawa, Edo, there were two sisters and a brother named Okenobu and Seiji who ran a loss adjuster, Izumoya, in Nakamachi. Izumo-ya is a business that rents out all kinds of goods, from daily necessities to antiques and works of art, to customers for a nominal fee.
However, what makes the tools handled by Izumoya different from those of other stores is that they have been made more than a hundred years ago and have become a kind of "tsukumogami," or ghosts, with souls.
The "Tsukumogami" are lent out to customers, who come to them with all sorts of stories and gossip. The good-natured and compassionate Ohbeni and Seiji, with the help of these "Tsukumogami," solve all sorts of troubles, big and small, that occur in this town.
Enjoy this human-interest tale of the "Tsukumogami" and the humans that flourish in the town of Edo, and the tragedies, joys, and sorrows that ensue.
