In addition to the screening of the first two episodes, Hikaru Akao, who plays Kaoruko, and Kaede Motowatari, who plays Komu, were invited to a talk show. Before the screening, Akao said, "Please pay attention to Kaosu-sensei's (Kaoruko) habit, 'Ababaabaaba. Various 'Abababaaba' will appear in the film." Hondo added, "Four high school girls are manga artists, so I think the area around their desks will show their individuality. Please take a good look at it," he said, introducing the highlights of the film.
After the screening, Akao and Hondo took the stage again. Akao smiled, "I thought it was going to be loose and fluffy, but there were so many gag elements and funny parts that I couldn't resist. Hondo said, "Even during recording, I felt that there were rather a lot of finished pictures, but the tempo was good and the way the images were moved drew me in, making the 30 minutes go by very quickly.
As for the characters they play, Akao said, "When I was chosen to play the role of Kaoruko, I tried to be a "geeky, comic-conscious high school girl" and emphasized hard work rather than just talking normally. I recorded the theme song in the middle of the recording, and I felt the loneliness in Kaosu's heart and her inability to face the world alone when I sang the ending (theme song), and I was able to put more feelings into the song. So much so that when she saw the ending in the finished version, she could not help but burst into tears. Hondari, who said she auditioned for both Koyumu and Kaoruko, said, "When I received the news that I had passed the audition, I felt intuitively that I was cast as Koyumu because I could relate to many aspects of the role. She seems easygoing and optimistic, but I play her so that there is a part of me that can take a step back and look at everyone," she says. When she went through the actual postrecording, she was shocked to see Akao playing Kaoruko and said, "This is it! and revealed that she was shocked at how well she got into the role.
When the topic turned to her favorite scene, Akao picked up the shopping scene in episode 2. Akao commented, "I can't get enough of the innocent look Kaosu gives Ryuhime when she buys the tone." Hondo then went into more detail, saying, "Pay attention to the position of the tone pattern that Ryuhime puts on her chest.
This work depicts such a wide variety of personal clothing and hairstyles that Hondo said, "When I watch the rehearsal video before recording, I am interested in the characters' fashions. Akao and Hondo, who had chosen and worn outfits similar to Kaoruko and Komu's, were greeted by the audience's "Go around! The audience responded to the call with thunderous applause.
At the end of the show, the two gave messages to the audience in preparation for the start of the broadcast. Hondo said, "I like the development that incorporates manga-like elements. If everyone cheers for us, we may have a chance to unveil the theme song at events, etc." Akao said, "The story is loose, has gags, and has an interesting tempo, but there are also developments in the future that will make you feel more emotional. The show includes ad-libs and gets more powerful as the episodes go on, so please watch it through to the end and see how everyone grows.
