Captain Tsubasa" is a soccer comic by Yoichi Takahashi that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1981. The manga depicts a young soccer boy, Tsubasa Ozora, who believes that "the ball is your friend," and how he grows through games against teammates and many rivals, triggering a huge soccer boom in Japan when soccer was still at a low ebb in popularity. The popularity of the series has spread outside of Japan, and it is a very popular work loved by soccer boys all over the world. In December 2017, it was announced that a new series will be produced.

⇒2018 Spring Anime

This time, the key visual was finally unveiled.

The main character, Tsubasa Ozora, who shoots vigorously, is backed by his teammates Taro Misaki and Ryo Ishizaki of the Nankatsu Elementary School soccer club, as well as Genzo Wakabayashi, Kojiro Hyuga, Ken Wakamatsu, Jun Misugi, and Hikaru Matsuyama, who stand in his way as Tsubasa's rivals.

In addition, a third cast of five additional members has been announced.

The Nishigaoka Elementary School soccer club captain Urabe Sanji will be played by Hino Miho, goalkeeper Morisaki Yuzo by Hatanaka Yu, Wakabayashi's coach Mikami Tatsuo by Nishimura Tomomichi, Tsubasa's father Ozora Kodai by Terasoma Masaki, and Tsubasa's mother Ozora Natsuko by Sato Rina.
A total of 22 cast members have been announced so far, but more characters and cast members will appear in the full-length version, so keep an eye on the broadcast.

It has also been announced that advertisements will appear at train stations across the country in preparation for the start of the broadcast on April 2 (Monday).

At 20 stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area, advertisements using frames from the original story as backgrounds will be posted. The ads will be especially large at Tokyo and Shinbashi stations. The "Captain Tsubasa" TV anime ads will also appear in the Osaka, Nagoya, Hokkaido, and Fukuoka areas, so be sure to visit these stations to find that memorable scene that made your heart flutter.
