Mobile Suit Gundam: The ORIGIN" is completed with the 6th episode "Birth of the Red Comet"! The latest PV shows Char's heroic figure at the end of "ORIGIN".

With "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN: Birth of the Red Comet" set for release on Saturday, May 5, 2018, the "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN" anime project will conclude.

The anime work is based on the manga of the same title by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the 1979 TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam. The event screening of the "Char Seira Arc," which depicts the eve of the One Year War from the viewpoint of the popular character Char Aznable, began in February 2015. It was announced that the "Char Seira Arc" would be completed with "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin IV: Eve of Destiny" and that the "Lum" Arc, which depicts the first battle of the One Year War, would be produced at the end of 2016 with a total of two episodes.

The prehistory of the "One Year War", the biggest battle in the Universe Century, which has not been revealed until now - from the death of Zeon Zum Daikon to the Battle of Loum, the past of the main characters of the First Gundam, centering on the background of Char Aznable, the "Red Comet" and his sister Sayla Mas, will be depicted in "Char's Gundam The Origin". The past of the main characters of the First Gundam, from the death of "Red Comet" Char Aznable and his sister Seira Mas, to the Battle of Luum, is presented in six episodes: "Char Seira Arc (I-IV)" and "Luum Arc (V-VI)". On January 23, 0079, the battle to determine the winner between Zeon and the Earth Federation began in Side 5, Luum. Zeon, which had been overwhelmingly outnumbered, launched a special assault battalion composed of humanoid "mobile suits," a secret plan, to turn the tide of the war and achieve a great victory. Among them, Char Aznable of the Zeon army is promoted to the rank of major with his red mobile suit "Zaku II," and is nicknamed the "Red Comet. After the Battle of Loum, the Earth Federation Forces plan "Operation V" to counterattack Zeon.
Behind the scenes, a young boy from Side 7, Amuro Ray, takes action on his own to find out the secret of a new weapon, the "Gundam. Meanwhile, in Antarctica, Lunatu sends a message to the world at an early peace negotiation meeting between high-ranking officials of both Zeon and Earth Federation armies...
