Live performance of OP & ED at the earliest possible time! Additional cast members were announced just before the TV anime "Magical Girl Sight" airs! Talk & Live Stage Report [AnimeJapan 2018

One of Japan's largest anime events, AnimeJapan 2018, was held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 24 (Sat.) and 25 (Sun.), 2018. Here is a report from the "Magical Girl Sight" Talk & Live Stage held at the WHITE Stage on March 25 (Sun.), just before the TV anime "Magical Girl Sight" aired! The performers were Yuzuko Ono (Aya Asagiri), Himika Akaneya (Rono Nukumura), Aina Suzuki (Rina Shioi), Yu Serizawa (Nomi Anazawa), Haruka Yamazaki (Sarina Shizukumei), and i☆Ris (Saki Yamakita, Yu Serizawa, Himika Akaneya, Yuki Wakai, Miyu Kubota, and Azuki Shibuya). Mr. Takamasa Ohashi served as the moderator.

The main character, Aya, who is bullied at school and abused by her brother at home, is drawn into a harsh fate when she makes a contract with the eerie Web site "Magical Girl Site" and obtains a stick with magical powers.

The performers say that when they first came into contact with this work, the scene in which Aya is subjected to fierce bullying was still shocking and heartbreaking. However, it is not just a painful story, but the deeper aspects of friendship and love between the characters are also appealing, and how Aya grows up is also noteworthy. The characters are all said to be very strong, so it will be interesting to see how they are portrayed in the anime.

She also talked about the "Magical festa." event held the other day, and smiled, saying that it was an enjoyable event full of variety, completely different from the image of the work.

During the stage, additional cast members were announced, and video letters were shown from Yumi Hara (playing Kozame Amaya), M.A.O. (playing Sayuki Ringa), Kaede Hondo (playing Mikari Izumigamine), Eriko Matsui (playing Kiyoharu Suirenji), and Lynn (playing Asahi Takiguchi), who play the magical girls who appear from the second half of the story.

In addition, a VTR introducing the work was interspersed by virtual YouTuber Kizuna Eye, who plays the site administrator, Okame, and finally the live corner was held. During the preparations and announcements, the cast members were seen joking around and holding hands with each other, indicating the good atmosphere at the site.

First, Mr. Yamazaki, dressed in a rider's jacket, sang the ending theme song "Zensen tomodachi (Friendship). His cool and powerful singing voice and emotional facial expressions captivated the audience. The high notes in the chorus and the choreography of everyone raising their hands in the air were also key points of the song.

Next, i☆Ris, who appeared in new black-based costumes, performed the opening theme "Changing point". Akaneya's solo at the beginning of the song attracted the audience's attention, and the choreography of pistols and hearts, which was inspired by the work, was also a highlight of the performance.

The stage ended with a final word from the performers, with Ohno saying, "There are scenes of bullying and other things that make you want to turn away, but the warmth of friendship and love that lies beyond that is what makes this work so sparkling.
