Comment from Atsuhiro Iwakami, Representative Director of Aniplex
We have been in discussions with Live2D, which owns "Live2D" software widely used in animation and application games, and we strongly felt their enthusiasm to produce feature-length videos using their technology. Through this alliance, Aniplex will support Live2D's business, and together we will further advance visual technology and pursue further visual expression, which I am confident will result in completely new visual works. It may be a long road ahead, but we look forward to working with you.

Tetsuya Nakashiro, CEO of Live2D commented
Live2D is becoming increasingly popular, especially for application games in Japan and overseas. This time, we have been given the opportunity to take on the challenge of producing a feature-length animated film through our partnership with Aniplex, which is developing its entertainment business on a global scale. We are confident that we can contribute to the development of 2D content and the creators who support it by providing innovative visual expressions and the technology to realize them, while accelerating the development of tools for the app game industry to a greater extent than ever before."
