The main cast, including Jun Fukuyama, Mamoru Miyano, and Nana Mizuki, gathered at the "PERSONA5 the Animation" stage! Report on the "PERSONA5 the Animation" stage! AnimeJapan2018
One of Japan's largest anime events, AnimeJapan 2018, was held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 24 (Sat.) and 25 (Sun.), 2018. Here is a report from the "PERSONA5 the Animation" Special Stage held on the RED Stage on the 25th (Sunday).
The cast included Jun Fukuyama (Ren Amamiya), Mamoru Miyano (Ryuji Sakamoto), Nana Mizuki (Anne Takamaki), Ikue Otani (Morgana), Tomokazu Sugita (Yusuke Kitagawa), Rina Sato (Makoto Niijima), Aoi Yuki (Futaba Sakura), Haruka Tomatsu (Haru Okumura), Soichiro Hoshi (Goro Akechi), and Kazunori Adachi, producer of Aniplex, with Chiaki Matsuzawa serving as MC.
Persona 5" is the latest title in Atlus' popular "Persona" series of juvenile RPGs. In July 2017, production of the long-awaited TV anime series "PERSONA5 the Animation" was announced. was announced, and in December, the name of the anime protagonist was decided. Now, just prior to the start of the broadcast, a luxurious stage featuring all the main cast members has been realized.
The event was held on the RED Stage, which can accommodate up to 1,000 seated spectators, and the free viewing area set up behind the stage was overflowing with people who wanted to see this rare opportunity to see all the main cast members.
And it was not only the audience that was impressed by the gorgeous stage. Producer Adachi of Aniplex was also thrilled by the spectacle. He revealed that when he heard about the casting for the game, he had been whining to Atlus, the original creator of the game, saying, "Please don't let us do this, because with such a splendid cast, we'll never be able to get together (for events and recordings).
The event was further enlivened by stories of how the recording of the first episode went so smoothly that the recording time ended much earlier than usual, and how the cast was privileged to be the first in the studio to hear how cute Morgana looks in the animated film. While each cast member was talking about the joy of being able to record the dialogue since the game had been converted to anime, an alert suddenly rang out on stage. Then, "We received a new PV from the studio. From the Thieves of the Heart." The second PV was shown for the first time on the screen. After that, the characters in their casual clothes and SD characters were unveiled for the first time, and new information on a variety of areas was revealed, including information on merchandise. It was also announced that the first six minutes of the first episode would be shown on the second episode ( # ) of "PERSONA5 the Animation JUNSAKA Leblanc Attic Broadcasting Station" scheduled for March 28 (Wed.) from 21:30 to 22:30, and that Rina Sato would make a guest appearance, which excited the audience.
After a commemorative photo session with the audience in the background, the stage came to a close with messages from the speakers, which stirred up anticipation for the anime broadcast.
For those who have played the original game, one of the best parts of the anime adaptation is being able to enjoy which of the choices in the game are made. But on the other hand, for those who have not played the game at this point in time, producer Adachi gave his assurance that the anime can be enjoyed by both people, saying that by touching the anime without seeing any spoilers, they can "enjoy the anime in a way that those who know the original work cannot".
We hope you will look forward to the broadcast on April 7 (Sat.).
