Layton Mystery Detective Agency - Katry's Nazotoki File" and Koichi Yamadera will play Professor Layton!

It has been announced that Koichi Yamadera will be the cast member of the TV anime version of "Professor Layton" aka "Elshar Layton" from "Layton Mystery Detective Agency - Katori no Nazotoki File," which will start airing on April 8, 2018 (Sunday).

The "Layton" series is a popular adventure game in which Professor Layton, an English gentleman whose trademark is a silk hat, and his self-proclaimed number one student, Luke, are asked to solve mysterious cases and solve numerous difficult ones.

In "Layton Mystery Journey: Katley Eir and the Millionaire Conspiracy," the latest title in the series, the main character has passed from Professor Layton to his daughter, Katley Eir Layton (Katley). The series has been reimagined with a new concept of "high-speed comical riddle stories" in which the characters solve small riddles that occur in London one after another, rather than the grand riddle-solving style of the previous installments. It is a completely new "Layton" series that is more everyday and familiar.

The staff of the TV anime version is led by Akihiro Hino, creative director/planner/series director of "Yokai Watch" and "Snack World," and directed by Kan Mitsunaka, director of the "Hi-Q! series. Animation production is by Raiden Film, creator of the "Arslan Senki" series.
