Who can become the top "Pretty☆Chan Idol"? The "Kilatto Pri☆Chan" Pre-broadcast Stage! Report【Anime Japan 2018

One of Japan's largest anime events, AnimeJapan 2018, was held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 24 (Sat.) and 25 (Sun.), 2018. Here is a report from the "Kirakto Pri☆Chan" pre-broadcast stage held at the BLUE Stage on Saturday, March 24. on the BLUE Stage on Saturday the 24th.

A new anime of the Pretty Series, "Kiratto Pri☆Chan," will start airing every Sunday from April 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. on six TV Tokyo networks and BS Japan. The story is about first-year junior high school students "Mirai Momoyama" and "Emo Moe" who create their own channel and aim to become "Top Pretty☆Chan Idols" in the program distribution entertainment called "Pretty☆Chan. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning.

To commemorate the start of the broadcast, the main cast will gather on stage for the "KIRATTO PRE-CHANN: Stage Immediately Before the Broadcast! was held at the BLUE Stage of AnimeJapan 2018 on Saturday, March 24. Ms. Hayashi expressed her joy at being able to appear as the main character in the long-running "Pretty" series, and Ms. Kubota commented that she would like to support the characters as they grow day by day from the same perspective as the viewers. Ms. Atsugi, who says she has always loved the "Pretty" series, expressed her passionate desire to be the one to give dreams to the viewers, just as she has been given dreams by the series in the past.

Ms. Serizawa, who has appeared in four consecutive "Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live" productions, commented that she would do her best with a fresh mind. Ms. Wakai, who will continue to appear in "Prettypara", also expressed her enthusiasm, saying that "Ana" and "Sara" are the rivals of "Mirai" and "Emo", and that she hopes to stir things up in a good way.


After showing a trailer, three members of the voice actress unit "Run Girls, Run! However, Hayashi and Atsugi had already appeared on stage as the main characters, so they had to wait for Morishima to join them. Serizawa gave them a hard time.

Morishima-san also commented that they may possibly participate in the anime, which drew loud cheers from the audience.

Next was the "Pri☆Chan Distribution: I tried it! corner, where the audience could actually experience the world of Pritchan.

In this corner, participants faced a camera set up on the right side of the stage and appealed themselves for 15 seconds as if they were actually broadcasting on Pritchan. The images from the camera were directly projected on the screen, giving the audience a taste of the "Pri☆Chan delivery" experience. Ms. Serizawa, who raised her hand to be the first one to take up the challenge, made a wonderful appeal within the 15-second time limit, and the audience and the cast on stage applauded loudly. The applause turned to laughter when Ms. Serizawa, who was playing the role of "Ana," the idol of "Pri☆Chan" before everyone else, said that it was natural for her to be able to do this well.


Ms. Hayashi, who took up the challenge next, held up the "Pri☆Chan Cast" scheduled for release on June 7, and appealed to the audience to get one and become a "Pri☆Chan" idol. The senior members were astonished that she would even include an advertisement for the product.

The last to take on the challenge was Ms. Kubota. The audience laughed as Ms. Serizawa and Ms. Wakai appeared on camera behind Ms. Kubota, who was trying to show off her cuteness.

After an explanation of the new arcade machine, which will be available in stores from April, a large-size Folochicke (a card used in the game) appeared on stage. The audience's eyes were riveted by the sheer size of the glittering follochicates (kirachicates).


After a video of "Pripara & Kiratto Pri☆Chan the Movie: Sparkling Memorial Live," which will be released in theaters on May 5 (Sat), Hayashi and Kubota gave their final comments on behalf of the cast, and the stage, which was full of volume and excitement, came to an end.
