Preview of "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN: Birth of the Red Comet" will be held at Tokyo Metro!

The anime project of "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN" has reached its conclusion, "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN: Birth of the Red Comet," which is set to be released on May 5, 2018 (Saturday), and its preview will be held on the same day.

Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin" is an anime work based on the manga of the same title by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the 1979 TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam. The event screening of the "Char Seira Arc," which depicts the eve of the One Year War from the viewpoint of the popular character Char Aznable, began in February 2015. The film depicts the prehistory of the "One Year War," the largest battle of the cosmic century, which had not been revealed until now - from the death of Zeon Zum Daikon to the Battle of Loum, and the past of the major characters of the First Gundam, centering on the background of Char Aznable, the "Red Comet," and his sister Seyra Mas. The past of the main characters of the First Gundam, from the death of "Red Comet" Char Aznable and his sister Seira Mas, to the Battle of Luum, is presented in six episodes: "Char Seira Arc (I-IV)" and "Luum Arc (V-VI)". The "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" anime project, which has been renewing new pages as an important missing link in the history of Gundam, will finally be completed with the sixth episode "The Red Comet," which will be released on May 5 (Saturday).

In commemoration of the May 5 (Sat) screening of the latest installment in the "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" series, a "Tokyo Metro Thanksgiving Event 'Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, The Red Comet' Preview" will be held on April 27 (Fri), 2018 at the Tokyo Metro. This preview event will be held by lottery, and 350 pairs of 700 people will be invited.
