Additional performances of "Girls und Panzer: The Movie Cinematic Concert" started on March 18 (Sun.), starting with the Oarai concert.

Girls und Panzer" is an original TV anime that aired in 2012, set in a world where the martial art using tanks, "Tank Road," is considered an etiquette for Yamato Nadeshiko, and depicts girls deepening their bonds through tank road matches. A "heartwarming tank story. In 2014, the OVA "This is the real battle of Anzio! In August 2016, the production of the "final chapter" consisting of six episodes was announced. The first episode has been in theaters since December 9, 2017, and is a blockbuster hit.

The "Girls und Panzer: The Movie Cinematic Concert" is an event where the audience can enjoy the BGM portion of the 2015 movie "Girls und Panzer: The Movie" performed live by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. The last time the event was held in 2016 at Omiya Sonic City and Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall, both were sold-out successes.

On March 18 (Sun.), additional performances began in Oarai Town (Ibaraki Prefecture), Grand Cube Osaka (Osaka Prefecture), and Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall (Kanagawa Prefecture), where the work is set. Here is a report from the first day of the Oarai performance.

The first of the additional performances was held on March 18 in Oarai Town (Oarai Cultural Center), the setting of the production.
The performance was a great success, with tickets sold out, and the theme song by ChouCho and Sasaki Saka echoing in the background of the orchestra, and conductor Hirofumi Kurita waving his baton to the audience, who joined in the excitement as one. The music, beautifully arranged for the orchestra, was magnificent, giving the audience a different "Girls und Panzer: The Movie" experience.
The last performance of the day ended with conductor Kurita saying, "Oarai is good!　The orchestra is good!　Galpan is good! (ED theme song of the TV series), the entire audience sang "Enter Enter Mission!

From the Oarai performance, the live sound was adjusted by Miwa Iwanami, the sound director. This made the performance more immersive than ever, with the live orchestra playing well and the sound effects and characters' lines standing out in a well-balanced way.

This live sound adjustment will also be implemented for the Osaka and Yokohama performances. This will be the last concert of this format for "The Movie," and we hope you will take this opportunity to attend!
