Report on the advance screening of the anime "Devil's Line" with Sadayuki Matsuoka, Yui Ishikawa, Ryohei Kimura, Yoshimasa Hosoya, and Shota Aoi on stage.

An advance screening of the first and second episodes of the TV anime "Devil's Line," which will begin airing sequentially on April 7, 2018, was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on March 29 (Thursday).

Devil's Line" is a comic series by Hanada Ryo, serialized in the monthly magazine "Morning Two" (Kodansha). It is a unique dark fantasy with action, romance, and sad eroticism set in a world where demons and humans coexist, and has exploded in popularity as an e-book.
Spring 2018 Anime

Prior to the broadcast, an advance screening of episodes 1 and 2 was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on March 29 (Thursday). The official report has arrived and will be introduced below.

After the screening, Sadayuki Matsuoka playing Yuki Anzai, Yui Ishikawa playing Tsukasa Taira, Ryohei Kimura playing Hans Lee, Yoshimasa Hosoya playing Takashi Sawasaki, and Shota Aoi playing Kenichi Yoshii took the stage for the talk session. They talked about their impressions of the finished film and the appeal of the characters they play.

Matsuoka, who plays the main character Anzai, said, "The video is wonderful, and I think it is because of everyone's support. The cast and I feel that all of our hard work was worth it," he said, expressing his gratitude to the fans who visited the event. Ishikawa, who plays the heroine Tsukasa, a graduate student who is attracted to Anzai, expressed her impression of the film, saying, "It's very aggressive. In response to Kimura's comment about the atmosphere at the recording studio, Hosoya made the audience laugh with a joke. Kimura also touched Matsuoka's shoulder and gave his approval for his chairmanship.


During the character introduction, Ryo Hanada, the author of the original story, gave a message to each of the cast members. Matsuoka said, "I play the difficult role of being half human and half ogre with an unprecedented low tone in mind, so each episode is quite hard to record. In Hanada's message, while admiring the synchronization between Matsuoka and Anzai, some were concerned about Matsuoka's throat, which has been a challenge, but Matsuoka said, "I'm fine! It will be better the next day! He commented emphatically, "I'll be fine!


The sound of the OP song "Eclipse" sung by Aoi, who plays Yoshii, has been unveiled in the PV currently on view, but the video will be available only until the broadcast. Aoi said, "'Eclipse' means 'Eclipse' in Japanese. It expresses the conflict between the greed that wells up the more you think about your loved ones and the greed that you don't want.


In closing, Matsuoka said, "I think you will feel how deep the gap between demons and humans is. I will give it my all until the very end! and the entire cast bowed deeply in greeting. The curtain closed on the preliminary screening with the ED song "Gently Melting Away" by Mamoru Miyano, who also appears in the film as a cast member. The TV anime "Devil's Line" will begin airing on April 7 (Sat).
