OVA Version of "The Battle of Lord's Island" Digitally Remastered Blu-ray Box Standard Edition to be Released on August 24!

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of "Senki of Lord's Island," a special standard edition of the OVA version of "Senki of Lord's Island" will be released in a digitally remastered Blu-ray box set.

The "Chronicles of Lodoss Island" series, originally written by Ryo Mizuno, has sold more than 10 million copies and set a milestone in the history of Japanese fantasy novels. 2018 is the 30th anniversary of the birth of the "Chronicles of Lodoss Island" series, and fantasy fans will enjoy the commemorative year with related products, events, and other cross-media developments that are a must-see for fantasy fans. The memorial year is now in full swing with related products and events that are a must-see for fantasy fans.


To commemorate the 30th anniversary, a special standard edition of the digitally remastered Blu-ray box set of the OVA version of "The Battle of Lord's Island" will be released.

The original 35mm negative film materials of all 13 episodes of the OVA version were unearthed and digitally new-mastered using negative telecine, resulting in high quality images.


The animation was produced by Madhouse, which produced a succession of major theatrical productions in the 1980s, including "Genma Taisen" and "Kamui no Ken.
The film features a cast of top-notch staff including Nobuteru Yuki ("Space Battleship Yamato 2199") as character designer and chief animation director, Yutaka Minowa ("Highlander") as sub-character designer, Hiroyuki Okiura ("Innocence"), and Rintaro ("Genshi Taisen").
A set of beautiful postcards featuring illustrations by character designer and chief animation director Yuki Nobuteru will be included as a production bonus with each release, so don't miss out!

<Story
Rhodes Island. The island of Rhodes is home to a number of terrifying places, including the Forest of No Return, the Desert of Wind and Fire, the Island of Darkness, and the Wriggling Underground Labyrinth. Behind the dark emperor Beld of Marmo, the Island of Darkness, who plans to rule Rhodes, lies the dark plot of Kara, a witch with powerful powers. Pern, a swordsman living in the remote village of Zaxon, dreams of becoming a hero and sets off on a journey with his best friend Et, a priest, Gim, a strong Dwarf warrior, and Slaine, a sorcerer. The group is soon joined by the elf Diedrit, the thief Wood Chuck, and others. In the midst of war, their adventurous journey, in which they aspire to be heroes, is beset with various trials, including battles with dragons and monsters.


This product has been produced in the best condition possible from the original preserved version, but due to the age of the VHS production, some parts of the film may not look as good as they should.
Also, some parts of the film may have flickering. Please note that the light, color, and other aspects of the film do not conform to current guidelines for television broadcasts, so please exercise caution when viewing the film.
