Yamanosume" is an anime about high school girls climbing mountains, and the first season of the series, which aired from January to March 2013, was a five-minute short anime that gained popularity for its continuous story development and heartwarming episodes, and the pilgrimage events held in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, where the series was set, were a great success. The second season, which aired from July to December 2014, was scaled up to two 15-minute episodes. The content, which depicted not only the fun but also the harshness of mountain climbing, was highly acclaimed not only by fans but also by mountain climbing enthusiasts.

At a fan meeting held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the sacred Hanno Civic Hall, it was announced that the OVA "YAMANOSUME Omoide Present" (*to be released on January 26, 2018) would be released and an event screening would be held, and that the third TV anime season would begin in 2018. The broadcast schedule of "YAMANOSUME Third Season" has been decided this time!　It will be broadcast from July 2018 on TOKYO MX and other stations. The key visual released in conjunction with the airing date is an illustration of Aoi, Hinata, Kaede, Kokona, and Honoka smiling at the top of a mountain, showing the joy of mountain climbing. The first PV has also been released, so be sure to check it out as well.
