Lupin III Part 5" is the latest in the popular anime series based on the manga by Monkey Punch. Set in France, where Lupin III and the world's greatest thief Arsène Lupin have their roots, the film depicts the activities of Lupin and his friends using the latest technology in today's digital society.

The series will be composed and written by Ichirou Okochi of "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" and "Kabaneri of the Iron Castle," directed by Yuichiro Yano, as in the previous film, and character design by Hisao Yokobori. Animation production will be handled by Telecom Animation Films.

At the "Lupin III Part 5" stage at AnimeJapan 2018, regular voice actors including Kanichi Kurita as Lupin III, Daisuke Namikawa as Ishikawa Gomon, and Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine, as well as new character voice actors Inori Minase as Ami, Kenjiro Tsuda as Albert, and Kenjiro Yatsuda as Yatsuda, were all present. From the moment it was decided that Miyuki Sawashiro would sing the ending song, I wanted to make a serious video with Fujiko Mine as the main character.
I asked Kazuhide Tomonaga to draw all the cuts, and although the animation is not flashy, it is a very high quality animation that shows off Tomonaga's craftsmanship, such as his ability of expression over the years and careful screen production. Tomonaga-san, who willingly responded to my order, said "Fujiko is difficult~! but it turned out to be fascinating and wonderful. I hope you enjoy the various charms of Fujiko and Sawashiro's song.

Opening Video
The OP of PART4, which was very popular last time, was created as a royal Lupin-like OP including character introductions, as the TV series was revived after 30 years.
For PART5, Hisao Yokobori, an OP craftsman from Telecom, continued to work on the opening, but the music was arranged in a French style using accordion and other instruments, giving it a pop and elegant feel different from the previous version. Yokobori, who storyboarded, directed, and did the original artwork, and Tamiko Kanamori, who did the artwork, worked together to create an artistic image, and I think they succeeded in creating a fresh and unprecedented OP.
