Winter anime was a bumper crop! The winner was Antarctica? Camping? Or ! The result of "Which one was the most interesting? Annipota's official poll!

The official voting project "Which one was interesting? 2018 Winter Anime Popularity Poll", which was held from March 20 (Tue) to April 4 (Wed) on the anime portal "Anipota" operated by Akiba Research Institute, has come to an end. The total number of votes was 21,500, so who won the poll?　Let's take a look at the results right away.

The 2018 winter anime season was one of the most prolific in recent years.
There were big titles, topical titles, and anime that sucked, but the winner among them was "A Place Farther Than Outer Space," which won the hearts of viewers with its high school girls' journey to the South Pole. At the start of the series, the impression of this work was somewhat subdued, but as each episode went by, viewers were drawn in by the careful portrayal of the characters and the heart-wrenching drama. From the midpoint of the film, the number of votes rose rapidly. Before they knew it, they were ahead of the second-place finisher by a double score.

Following the first-place finisher, the second- and third-place finishers were also in a fierce dead heat. After a fierce battle, the second place went to "YuruCan△," whose interview with the director drew a great deal of attention, and the third place went to "Violet Evergarden," whose beautiful visuals and serene drama, as is typical of Kyoto Animation, are sure to move you.
YuruCan△" carefully depicts the fun of camping and the human drama that accompanies it, and was highly acclaimed. On the other hand, "Violet Evergarden" also drew attention for its in-depth depiction of the characters and received a lot of support. The difference between the two was only 13 votes.

The top four and below are a group of works with a unique atmosphere, such as "Mr. Takagi the Karakajite," "Hakumei to Mikochi," "Koi wa Ameagari ni yoni" and "Kikkoku" (Time is ticking).
Like the top three titles, winter 2018 anime seems to have been popular for its strong narrative orientation.

On the other hand, "POPTEPIC," which started as a "shitty anime," ranked 6th. Viewers who could not hide their confusion at the beginning of the broadcast may have been captivated by the narcotic-like charm of this work as each episode went by. It quickly rose in the rankings toward the end of the show.

Slow Start," featuring many beautiful girl characters, was also popular, winning both the OP and ED popularity polls. It was a brilliant top 10 entry.

At No. 10 was the popular series "Overlord II. The third season of the series was announced immediately after the last episode aired, and its popularity does not seem to be waning anytime soon.
