You Still Don't Know Gunma" Episode 1: Cutting off the previous five cars at Kagohara Station!

The short anime "You Still Don't Know Gunma" started this April.
Based on a comic serialized on the web comic distribution site "Kurage Bunch," it is a comedy in which "Gunma" (Gunma Prefecture/people in Gunma Prefecture), which is often disparaged on the Internet, is deformed with exaggerated action scenes with a lot of tension.

This work is so local that only the local commercial TV station, Gunma Television (Gunma Television), broadcasts it, which is a crying shame. However, it is also available on Animax and Gyao! The author, a native of Gumma, will delve into the details of such a super-local work with love.

In the memorable first episode, "Gugutto Gumma-ken," the main character, Kozuki Nori, who has moved from Chiba Prefecture to Gumma Prefecture, encounters a certain incident on the train (Takasaki Line) on his way to Gumma.

It is the "Mystery of Kagohara Station (Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture).

There are several types of down trains on the Takasaki Line from Tokyo to Gumma (Takasaki), and the Kagohara Station mentioned above is located in the middle of them. Since Kagohara Station has the largest garage on the Takasaki Line (probably), there are many trains that stop at Kagohara. Naturally, in order to go to Gumma, one cannot reach Kagohara Station by train bound for Kagohara, but must transfer to a train bound for Takasaki or other destinations.

Well, that is a matter of course, but there is one more trap at Kagohara Station that people from other prefectures tend to overlook. That is, "there is a train that separates the front five cars at Kagohara Station. Most trains on the Takasaki Line have 15 cars, but at Kagohara Station, the front five cars are separated, so if you fall asleep on one of these cars, the conductor will wake you up and ask you to change to the car behind.

The first episode deals with this phenomenon in an amusing way: when you find yourself at Kagohara Station, the train is empty, and the conductor (with a scary face) approaches you. For Gumma people who commute to Tokyo, this is a common thing that everyone knows, but if you don't know it, you may be surprised.

Moreover, it is a common practice in Gumma that the train doors do not open automatically after passing Kagohara Station (they are button-operated). This is probably because the number of passengers decreases after passing Kagohara Station, and because it gets very cold in this area, especially during the winter season, so the doors are not opened as much as possible.

In this film, Kamizuki tries to get off the train unexpectedly due to the increasingly bleak scenery on the train ( e.g., the increasing rate of Yankees: lol), but he does not know it and panics, "I'm trapped on the train! This is also a "certain situation" that everyone in Gumma knows.

(This is also a common occurrence that everyone in Gumma knows.)
