The Ponikyan booth report for AnimeJapan 2018, March 25 (Sunday), has arrived!

AnimeJapan 2018, one of the world's largest anime events, took place at Tokyo Big Sight on March 24 (Sat.) and 25 (Sun.), 2018. At the Pony Canyon booth, a stage event was held with cast members from the company's anime and game productions, and the official report from the second day, Sunday the 25th, has arrived.

This year's stage events include a medical variety stage titled "Ponikyan Clinic" on both days, and on the second day, March 25th (Sunday), "Asagao and Kase-san. Re:Stage! Sanrio Boys," "Nir Admirari no Tenbai," "Frame Arms Girl," "RELEASE THE SPYCE," and "A of Diamonds. Emiri Tachibana was the MC for all the stages.

In addition to talks about the works, a "psychological test" was conducted as part of the "Poni Kyan Clinic. The answers were written on colored paper, which was given to the participants by lottery. Here is a digest of each talk event.

AnimeJapan 2018" Ponikyan Booth Report ■Day 2

Asagao and Kase-san.

The OVA "Asagao and Kase-san" will be released on June 9 (Sat), 2018 at Shinjuku Wald 9, Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas, etc. for a limited time. From the "Asagoto Kase-san" OVA, Minami Takahashi as Yui Yamada, Ayane Sakura as Tomoka Kase, and Efuki Kido as Mikawa appeared on stage. Many fans gathered on stage first thing in the morning and cheered.
When asked if the personalities of Takahashi and Yamada, her character, were similar, Kido, who has performed with Takahashi, immediately answered, "Not at all! Kido, who has worked with Takahashi, answered immediately, "No, not at all! Sakura, who had little experience working with Takahashi, confessed that her first impression of Takahashi was that he was "the type who would die if he did not speak, which is sometimes the case in the voice acting industry.

The theme song of the film is a character song cover of "The Door to Tomorrow." Yamada and Kase are tone-deaf in the film, so they had a hard time deciding how to sing the song when recording it, and the talk stage was filled with secret stories about the film.

Three members from "Re:Stage!" appeared on the stage: Amane Makino as Mina Shikimiya, Akari Kito as Sayu Tsukisaka, and Maazumi Tazawa as Mizuha Ichikishima.
In "Re:Stage! Aside from their own unit "KiRaRe," Makino said she was interested in "Ortansia" because she likes two-piece idol units, and Kito said he was interested in "Tetrarkhia" because he likes up-tempo songs and rock music, and Tazawa said he was interested in "KiRaRe" because he likes "Tetrarkhia" because he likes rock music. From the TV anime "Sanrio Boys," which began airing in January 2018 and finally reached its final episode, Jun Osuga (Shunsuke Yoshino), Koyuki Hanakura (Ryo Nishimiya), and Yuma Uchida (Seiichiro Minamoto) appeared. In addition, "Hello Kitty" appeared as a special guest, which greatly increased the tension among the performers as well as the audience.
Since the last episode had just aired, the audience talked about the scenes that left a deep impression on them. In the scene where they go to Sanrio Puroland, Uchida said that she was able to record the scene as she remembered it from when she actually visited Puroland, and "I really enjoyed acting in the atmosphere of the five of us being at Puroland.
In a psychological test that "reveals a surprising side of you," Oosuga was found to be the "always-on-at-all-times 'full of skirts' type," while Hanakura and Uchida were found to be the "always-on-at-the-moment" type.
Unfortunately, the anime broadcast came to its final episode, but at the end of the show, it was announced that the show would be adapted for the stage. We will keep an eye on the future development of the show.

The Scales of Nir Admirari

From the TV anime "The Scales of Nil Admirari," which will start airing from April 2018 on TOKYO MX and other stations, Yuki Kaji, who plays Hayato Ozaki, and Nobuhiko Okamoto, who plays Koh Koh, took the stage. In addition, Hiro Shimono, who sings the ending theme "Black Thunder," was called on by the entire booth to appear on stage as a voice actor artist.
First, a PV of the film was shown and the characters played by Kaji and Okamoto were introduced. Hayato Ozaki, played by Kaji, is the leader of the Imperial Library Information Asset Management Bureau (Owl) and is "a manly, cool, and charming character" (Kaji), while Koh Konoe, played by Okamoto, is a cool guy who does not know what he is thinking, and "I hope you will enjoy what mysteries he holds" (Okamoto).
In a psychological test that "reveals an unexpected aspect of the character," the audience had a great time watching Shimono play the roles of "wife," "adopted son-in-law," "mistress's daughter and housekeeper," "second son," and "man who was in the mansion's jail cell. The three well acquainted actors enjoyed going off on many tangents, but in the end, as the ending theme song "Black Thunder" played in the background, they again talked about their enthusiasm for the work.

Frame Arms Girl" will air from April to June 2017.

From the TV anime "Frame Arms Girl," which aired from April to June 2017, Narumi Kaho played Todoroki and Rika Abe played Fleswerk. Although a bit nervous because this was their first "Frame Arms Girl" event in a while, they introduced the work and characters again. They also introduced the Blu-ray box containing all 12 episodes, which had just been released, and its package.
The audience was entertained with a psychological test to determine their "mieppari level" and a "drawing test" to determine their "upward mobility" and "career advancement level.
Finally, a special video was shown, during which it was announced that a sequel to the "Frame Arms Girl" anime would be produced.
Kaho and Abe were overjoyed by the unexpected surprise and shared their joy with the fans in attendance.

RELEASE THE SPYCE

From the TV anime "RELEASE THE SPYCE," which is scheduled to start airing in October 2018, Yukari Anzai, who plays Momo Minamoto, Akane Fujita, who plays Kaede Sagami, and Yuri Noguchi, who plays Goe Ishikawa, appeared on stage. This stage was the first event for this production.
The theme of this original animation by Takahiro of "Yuna Yuki wa Yusha wa Yusha de Aru" and Namori of "YuruYuri" is a high school girl x spy action comedy. The cast introduced the storyline and character relationships, and a key visual was also unveiled for the first time.
In addition, it was decided that the three performers who appeared on stage would perform as a unit called "Pilli Peppers. They are planning not only promotional activities but also musical activities, and it was announced that the character song "SPICY THE LIFE," which is used in the PV, will be released on June 20.
The work will start airing in October, so there are still many mysteries to be solved, but the stage was filled with high expectations for the future development of the work.

Dia no A" (A of Diamonds)

The big winner of the Pony Canyon booth at AnimeJapan was "Dia no A". This year, Ryota Osaka, who plays Eijun Sawamura, and Takahiro Sakurai, who plays Kazuya Miyuki, appeared in their Aodo High School uniforms. At the beginning of the event, the two seemed to be talking a little low-tension. Then suddenly Natsuki Hanae took the stage with the famous line from Haruichi Kominato, "If you're not going to do it, take over. Hanae's surprise appearance, which was decided on short notice, was met with loud cheers from the fans in attendance.
The Blu-ray BOXI containing the first 40 episodes of the first season and two OADs was released on March 21, and the three recalled their first encounter with each other. They also talked about the best album released at the same time and the "Dia no A The ORCHESTRA" event held in February.
The anime broadcast of this work is temporarily on hiatus, but there are plans for a variety of other events, including "All-Star Game III" on November 25 and collaborations with the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks on May 26 and 27, the Tohoku Rakuten Eagles on June 24, and the Hanshin Tigers on September 2.
