The Ponikyan booth report for AnimeJapan 2018, Saturday, March 24, has arrived!

AnimeJapan 2018, one of the world's largest anime events, took place at Tokyo Big Sight on March 24 (Sat.) and 25 (Sun.), 2018. The Pony Canyon booth hosted a stage event with cast members from the company's anime and game productions, and the official report from the first day, Saturday, March 24, has just arrived.

This year's stage event was a medical variety stage titled "Ponikyan Clinic" on both days. On Saturday, the 24th, the first day of the event, "Dagatatsugai 2/Takunomi. Aniddle Colors," "Kaiju Musume: Ultra Monster Personification Project," "Bisho High School Chikyu Boueibu HAPPY KISS!
On the second day, Sunday the 25th, "Asagao and Kase-san! Re:Stage! Sanrio Boys," "Nir Admirari no Tenbai," "Frame Arms Girl," "RELEASE THE SPYCE," and "A of Diamonds. Emiri Tachibana was the MC for all the stages.

In addition to talks about the works, a "psychological test" was conducted as a "diagnosis" for the "Poni Kyan Clinic. The answers were written on colored paper, which was given to the participants by lottery. Here is a digest of each talk event.

But But But 2/Takunomi.

The first to take the lead in the event was the collaboration stage of the TV anime "Dare ga Shigatsu 2" and "Takunomi," which aired on TBS and other networks from January 2018. The first to take the stage was a collaboration between the TV anime "Dakkutsu 2" and "Takunomi. The two actors were Ayana Taketatsu playing the role of Hotaru Edadaru from "Dakkatsu butai 2" and Michiru Amatsuki from "Takunomi. Ayaka Imamura, who plays Michiru Amatsuki from "Takunomi", took the stage.

Also, Takemasa is not sure of the age of Hotaru Edadaru, the character she plays, and does not know if she is an adult or a minor. Anidolu Colors.

From the animal idol training game "Aniiddle Colors," Junta Terashima played the role of Yuki Asahi, a doggy-type boy who can't stop running, and Shosei Yamatani played the role of Tohu Natsuzuki, a boy with a genius skin and a tzun-tzun personality who is a novice.
Terashima, who appeared alone on stage after Yamatani was delayed, wowed the audience with his monologue using a stuffed leopard (Tohu Natsuzuki) as Yamatani.
After Yamatani joins them, the game and characters are introduced; the second part (scheduled for distribution in spring 2018), in which the unit "7Colors" to which the two belong will enter the entertainment world and engage in idol activities, will be fully voiced, so it is worth noting this as well. The second part will include many serious scenes, and a behind-the-scenes story was also presented about the considerable amount of calories used in the recording process.
The title of the new song for "7Colors" will be "Original Colors". The song is said to be bright, catchy, and unintentionally hummable, so we look forward to its release.
In a "psychological test" to find out how narcissistic they are, they both answered "extremely ordinary," and were depressed, saying that it is fatal for a TV personality.

Kaijyu Musume: Ultra Monster Personification Project

From the TV anime "Kaijyu Musume: Ultra Monster Anthropomorphism Project," the second season of which began airing in January 2018, Riho Iida as Agira, Risae Matsuda as Guts Seijin, and Sosui Matsuda as another Guts Seijin took the stage.
The three actors appealed that this work, which has become even more powerful in its second season, is a short animation of about 3 minutes, but also has a short animation "Oshiele Oshiete Eleking Senpai" attached to it, making it short but very rich in content.
Iida says that in the first season, Aguila was unable to communicate with others, but in the second season, she talks a lot and plays a very active role. He also shared an episode about how in the first season, the director had requested him to play the character as if he were a "commie".
In the final announcement corner, the production of the new animation "Kaijyu Musume: Black" was announced, and in connection with Tsuburaya Productions, the PV of "SSSS.

Bisho High School Chikyu Boueibu HAPPY KISS!

Naoyuki Shimotsuru as Kyotaro Shuzenji, Ryoma Komata as Ryoma Kirishima, Takahide Ishii as Nanao Wakura, Rikuya Yasuda as Taishi Manza, and Shota Hayama as Ichiroku Dogo from the TV anime "Bios High School Chikyu Boueibu HAPPY KISS! As this was their first appearance at an event as "HAPPY KISS!", when they took the stage, they excited the audience with a kissing service and self-introductions expressing their joy at their first event.
When introducing the characters they each play, Ishii introduced Nanao Wakura as "a character who loves to tease people, especially Kirishima," and Ishii himself revealed an episode in which he was teased by everyone.
Hayama, who plays Ichiroku Dogo, also reflected on himself, saying that under the influence of Dogo, he has gradually come to rely more and more on his intuition.
In the announcement corner, in addition to broadcast information, theme songs, events, and other information, the decision to release a character song CD was announced. At the end of the event, the audience enjoyed a psychological test that "reveals a surprising side of you," showing the good teamwork despite it being their first event together.

A3!

The two actors from the handsome actor training game "A3!" were Sawashiro Chiharu, who plays the role of Settsu Banri, the leader of the Autumn troupe, and Konishi Seiya, who plays the role of Izumi Izumida, a new character who will join the Autumn troupe from Part 2.
When asked by the MC what soothes his soul, Konishi replied, "Watching puppy videos on Instagram," to which Sawashiro replied, "Konishi-kun soothes me.
As this work is based on a theatrical theme and both of them have experience on stage, Sawashiro shared episodes that only a small theater background can provide. Konishi, who said this was his first time as a full-fledged voice actor, talked about the difficulties he faced during the recording process.
As for the song sung by Sawashiro and Konishi for the fourth performance of Akigumi, Sawashiro prefaced his remarks by saying that he could not give any details because it had not yet been released to the public, but he appealed to the audience that it was just so cool.
In the "psychological test," Konishi said that he is the type who is single-mindedly devoted to his goals, while Sawashiro said that he is the type who can take a step back and look at things objectively, both of which brought smiles to their faces.
At the end of the performance, it was announced that the title of the CD to be released on June 20 by the four new characters from the second part would be "GOLDEN ENCORE!

Caligula!

From the TV anime "Caligula," which will start airing in April 2018 on TOKYO MX and other networks, Sawashiro Chiharu played the main character Shikishima Ritsu, Ueda Rena played μ, and Shimoda Asami played Aria.
When the PV was shown after the introduction of the works and characters, the three said in unison, "I can't help but watch it over and over again. As Ueda said, "I want to listen to it on good speakers," and Sawashiro also commented, "The music is also key, so please pay attention to it.
In a "psychological test" asking what they would sacrifice for love, Ueda and Shimoda were asked if they would be willing to elope. Following the screening of a commercial film featuring the opening theme "Paradigm Box" sung by Sawashiro and Shunsuke Takeuchi (who plays Shogo Satake), the music information was revealed. The coupling of the opening theme will include a solo song by Ritsu Shikishima (cv. Chiharu Sawashiro) and the coupling of the ending theme will include a solo song by Aria (cv. Asami Shimoda).

From the TV anime "Girls☆Geki Revue Starlight," which is scheduled to start airing in the summer of 2018, four members appeared on stage: Momoyo Koyama as Karen Aishiro, Suzuko Mimori as Hikari Kagura, Youo Iwata as Mahiru Kurosaki, and Moeka Koizumi as Nana Oba.
Koyama, Iwata, and Koizumi said that there are many differences between the musical and the anime, and that they rely on Mimori for all the recording sessions where they are unsure of something. During breaks, they are always waiting for Mimori, and Mimori smiles, saying that he is like a coach.
When asked about the similarities between her character and the character she plays, Koyama, who says she does not resemble her at all, says, "On the contrary, I want to be like Karen-chan when I play her. On the other hand, Mimori, who says that although she is a cheerful person at heart, recently she has been playing many mysterious roles like Hikari, said that she plays her role while thinking that there might be a mysterious part inside her.
