An eve party and stage greeting will be held from the anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: Birth of the Red Comet," which will be released on May 5, 2018 (Saturday).

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" is an anime film based on the manga of the same title by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the 1979 TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam. The event screening of the "Char Seira Arc," which depicts the eve of the One Year War from the viewpoint of the popular character Char Aznable, began in February 2015. The "Char Seira Arc" was completed with "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin IV: Eve of Destiny," and at the end of 2016, it was decided to produce the "Luum" Arc, which depicts the first battle of the One Year War, in two episodes. In March 2018, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" anime project will be completed with the release of the sixth episode "Birth of the Red Comet" on May 5 (Sat.).

To commemorate the release of "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: The Birth of the Red Comet," a pre-event festival will be held on May 4 (Fri.), the day before the screening starts, and on May 6 (Sun.), the second day of the screening, a stage greeting by General Director Yasuhiko and the main cast members will be held!　The information on the admission privileges has also arrived, and at the eve of the festival, there will be "reproductions of original drawings" (a set of two, six types will be distributed at random). During the screening period, "newly-drawn miniature color paper" (10 types in total) will be distributed on a weekly basis.

In addition, in commemoration of the release of the sixth episode "Birth of the Red Comet," Tachikawa Cinema City will hold a superb sound screening of the previous "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" from April 28 (Sat.) to May 4 (Fri.)! ＜ Synopsis of "Birth of the Red Comet
On January 23, 0079, the battle to determine the winner between Zeon and the Earth Federation began in Side 5, Luum. Zeon, overwhelmingly outnumbered, launched a special assault battalion composed of humanoid "mobile suits," a secret plan, to turn the tide of the war and achieve a great victory. Among them, Char Aznable of the Zeon army is promoted to the rank of major with his red mobile suit "Zaku II," and is nicknamed the "Red Comet. After the Battle of Loum, the Earth Federation Forces plan "Operation V" to counterattack Zeon.
Behind the scenes, Amuro Ray, a young boy from Side 7, takes action on his own to find out the secret of a new weapon, the "Gundam. Meanwhile, in Antarctica, Lunatu sends a message to the world at an early peace negotiation meeting between high-ranking officials of both Zeon and Earth Federation armies...
