The top 10 titles were an all-time best lineup that mixed old and new works, as they are all masterpieces representing their era.

Anne of Green Gables" came in first place, followed by "My Mother's Journey of 3,000 Leagues" and "The World Famous Movie Theater" in second place. Both were nationally broadcast in prime time, and both are very well known. In particular, "Anne of Green Gables" was highly acclaimed for its faithful reproduction of the original work, and at the same time, the portrayal of the characters and direction of the series captured the hearts of animation fans at the time. It was even featured in a special issue of an animation magazine. The result was understandable.

The third to sixth places are occupied by Studio Ghibli films. All of them are masterpieces that continue to gain fans even today.

In seventh place was "Jarinko Chie. The muddy human drama depicted in Nishinari, Osaka, is a must-see! Personally, I can't forget the strangely upbeat OP theme and the comfort of the native Osaka dialect.

Moving up one spot to No. 9 is "Hohokekyo Tonarino Yamada-kun" (Hohokekyo Tonarino Yamada-kun). The watercolor visuals of this film caused quite a stir at the time of its release, and it is an important title as the roots of the expression that can be traced back to "The Tale of Princess Kaguyahime," which became a posthumous work.

Panda Copanda" (No. 8) and "The Great Adventure of Horus, Prince of the Sun" (No. 10) are must-see titles for fans. Panda Copanda" is a medium-length animation created in the early stages of his career in collaboration with Hayao Miyazaki. It is an important work as a turning point that led to Ghibli's later works. The Great Adventure of Horus, Prince of the Sun" is a monumental work that marks the first time Hayao Miyazaki was fully involved in the production of a film as a director.

The program will be broadcast uncensored and will include a special VTR with rare photos from the director's youth, so don't miss it!
