TV anime "Baki", OP by GRANRODEO, ED by Azusa Tadokoro!

Baki," which has been slated for a TV anime adaptation, has announced information on the theme song that will color the anime.

The "Baki" series is a popular fighting manga series serialized by Keisuke Itagaki in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) since 1991, depicting battles between the youngest underground fighting champion, Baki Hanma, and various martial arts masters. The total number of copies sold has exceeded 70 million, and OVAs and TV anime have been produced in the past. To date, there have been 123 volumes of comics plus three extra volumes, as well as numerous spin-offs.

The new TV series will be drawn from the "Deadliest Prisoner Arc" of Part 2 "Baki," a sequel to Part 1 "Grappler Baki," which was adapted into an anime in 2001. The second part of the popular fighting manga series depicts the battles of various martial artists centering on the epic battle to the death between the youngest champion of the underground arena, Baki Hanma, and his father, Yujiro Hanma, who is called "the strongest creature on earth. The TV anime of the second part, "Saibu no Shikenhen Hen" will be broadcast in the summer of 2018.

The theme song information for the anime has been determined.
The OP theme is "BEASTFUL" sung by GRANRODEO and the ED theme is "RESOLVE" sung by Azusa Tadokoro! The OP theme "BEASTFUL" is a rock tune reminiscent of the fierce battles of Baki and his friends, while the ED theme "RESOLVE" is a powerful song about the form of passionate love.

The OP theme "BEASTFUL" will be released on July 11 (Wed.) and the ED theme "RESOLVE" on July 25 (Wed.). The limited first pressing of "BEASTFUL" will include a music clip, and an anime jacket version of "RESOLVE" will be released with a newly illustrated jacket.
