Isekai Izakaya: Izakaya Nobu in the Ancient Capital of Aethelia" (hereafter "Nobu") is a work based on the recently popular theme of otherworldly things and food. The owner of "Izakaya Nobu" is located on a desolate street in Kyoto, but somehow the front entrance of the restaurant is connected to the medieval European-style otherworldly city of Aethelia, the ancient capital of Japan. Nobuyuki Yazawa, the proprietor, and Shinobu Senke, a waiter, run the restaurant for the residents of this other world.
People from all walks of life, including guards, craftsmen, merchants, and aristocrats, come to "Nobu" to relieve their fatigue of the day with good sake and snacks. ...... depicts a scene similar to that of Japanese businessmen drinking at an izakaya.
The second episode begins with Hans and his men in the ancient city of Aethelia Guard undergoing rigorous training by their company commander, Berthold (CV: Katsuyuki Konishi). After the training is over, Bertholdt takes Hans to "Nobu," which has recently become a rumor among the guards. Hans, however, seems to be concerned that if he takes Berthold to Nobu, he will like it as much as he does and become a regular there, but he does not seem to mind drinking with his superiors.
Berthold is strangely cautious and enters the restaurant with a battle-conscious mindset even before entering. As soon as he enters, he is concerned about the cleanliness of the restaurant, which makes him seem more like a little mother-in-law than a guard.
The first drink is a toast called "Triaesnama," and like Hans in the first episode, Bertholdt is surprised at how good it tastes. Hans seems to be enjoying himself as he watches the toast. While enjoying his second glass of "Triaesnama" with "Edamame" as a side dish, Berthold says, "It's certainly good, but I'm not ready to admit it yet. But it is still too early to admit. A rash decision on the battlefield can lead to disaster.

Hans asks for "surume" for his next snack, but Berthold tells him he wants something else. Taisho then says, "Say whatever you want. I think I can make most things," he replies. As if he had been waiting for this, Beltoholt says, "I like chicken, so I'll order the perfect dish for this triaznama." Apparently, chicken dishes are synonymous with bad food in the ancient city of Aethelia, so he ordered this dish with the intention of testing Tyshaw's skills.
Bertholdt, who was ready to compete with Tyshaw's dish, waited impatiently for the dish to arrive, while devouring the "pickled cucumber" that Shinobu-chan had brought as a chopstick rest before the next dish. The main dish prepared this time was "karaage (soy sauce flavored)," a staple of izakaya menus. Although salt-flavored fried chicken is sometimes seen, I definitely prefer the soy-sauce-flavored fried chicken, which is well seasoned and has a crispy surface.

After confirming the deliciousness of karaage and its compatibility with triaeznama, Berthold admits that the two foods were destined to meet and tries to eat the last remaining lemon as if it were fruit, but Hans, who is also trying to eat karaage next to him, tells him that it is meant to be poured over karaage and eaten refreshingly. However, he is further shocked when Hans, who is also trying to eat fried food, tells him that it is to be served over fried food to make it more refreshing.
If I were to eat karaage, I would like to enjoy it in two different ways, first as it is, and then with a dash of lemon. However, if you visit a real izakaya with several people, it would be safer to first ask if you can put lemon on the fried food, since there are different tastes in whether or not to put lemon on fried food.
Incidentally, I was so inspired by the "Chicken Nanban" that Shinobu-chan was eating that weekend that I inadvertently went to a certain izakaya to try it. This time, there were also many lines from the Taisho show, so girls who want to hear Tomokazu Sugita's good-looking voice should definitely watch the show.
The second half of the program, "Nobu + PLUS," took a completely different turn from the previous episode, "Kenichi Nagira's Search for Nobu Izakaya," in which singer-songwriter and TV personality Kenichi Nagira searched for exquisite dishes that appeared in the "Nobu" series. At "Jidori Karaage Izakaya Kokoro" in Asakusa, he enjoys the specialty "Habit-forming Karaage" while drinking draft beer and enjoying the unique seasoning of the specialty restaurant, which makes him think about various things.
And although I know that "Nobu" is affiliated with "Gurunavi," I would like to quench my thirst with triyeznama again this evening, with the understanding that I dare to post a link to "Eat Log" for corporate reasons.
