Yoichi Takahashi

We interviewed Yoichi Takahashi, the author of the legendary soccer manga "Captain Tsubasa," who is the head of the "NEXT SUPER HERO Project" support group and also drew illustrations for the project. He shared his thoughts on the project and talked about his own superhero and his message to children who have dreams.

─ ─ As the leader of the "Next Super Hero Project," what are your impressions of the project?

I am honored to be a part of this project to support children.

I hope that not only the children who participated in the project, but also the children who watched the program and videos will have dreams and do their best.

─ You are the leader of the "Next Super Hero Project" cheering group, what was your dream when you were a child?

Ever since I was a child, I loved comic books and had a dream of becoming a cartoonist.

At the same time, I also liked sports very much and had a dream of becoming a baseball player.

─ ─ Is there a soccer player that you are most interested in right now?

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

─ Who is the "superhero" for you?

Osamu Tezuka.

─ What would you like to say to children who have dreams?

In the process of experiencing many encounters in the future, you may experience setbacks and hardships.

However, I believe that if you continue to hold on to your dreams without giving up, a path will eventually open up for you.
Please do your best to become a superhero who will surprise the world.

In addition, we interviewed Mr. Davidson Junichi, who traveled around the world with the hero candidates as a supporter this time.

Davidson Junichi

──What was your impression when you received this offer?

Keisuke Honda is no longer in Milan, and this time I would have more years in Milan than him, so I thought this was my chance to surpass him. LOL!

─ ─ What was your dream when you were a child?

I was always saying stupid things like becoming an explorer and digging for gold. As a result, I became a comedian, so I guess I am not so different from the image I had of chasing stupid dreams.

─ Who is your "superhero"?

TOYO TIRES, the company that always invites me to their events, is my superhero!

─ What would you like to say to children who have dreams?

I think there are many ways to have a dream.

It could be "I want to be a superhero," or it could be something as vague as "I want to have fun in the future. Either way, if you can think about what you need to do to make your dream come true from a young age and take action, you will be closer to achieving it. I didn't think about it when I was a child, though.
