Interview with Kaori Oda, commemorating the release of her new song "Oda Kaori." Her first best album will be released on July 25 (Wed.)!

Kaori Oda, a talented singer with a large fan base who sings mainly theme songs for various titles of the female-oriented game brand Otomate, released the OP & ED theme song distribution single for the PlayStation(R) Vita game software "Tenka Ni Maiu, Iki Na Hana" on April 26 (Thursday).

Kaori Oda sings the opening theme and two ending themes for the PlayStation(R)Vita game software "Tengai ni Maiou, Iki na Hana" released on April 26, 2018 by the popular game brand Otomate.

On the same day of the game's release, a full-size single containing all three tie-in songs for which Ms. Oda wrote the lyrics was released for distribution, and a "high-resolution" sound source, which boasts higher data volume and sound quality than CDs, is also available, allowing users to experience her clear voice with even greater clarity.

In addition, it has been five and a half years since the release of her first album "PLACE," and "THE BEST -REPLAY-," her first best album filled with messages from Ms. Oda who has sung numerous songs, will be released.

The person who purchases "THE BEST -REPLAY-" will be invited to a live concert for free as an application privilege (in case of a large number of people, it will be decided by lottery). Details will be announced later, so please check the official website.

The following is an interview with Ms. Oda, who has just released a single for distribution.

──What is the content of this distribution single?

This distribution single contains the opening theme and two ending themes for the PlayStationRVita game software "Tengai ni Maiou, Iki na Hana" which will be released on the same day as the distribution release.
This is the first time for me to write all the lyrics for the opening and ending themes of one game, so I felt a little differently about it than I have in the past.
It was a fulfilling production period for me as both a singer and a lyricist to weave the world of the song and its words.

─ What kind of music are the songs on the album?

I myself grew up listening to various genres of music, and the opening theme "Iki Bi ~suibi~" has a very cool sound with the essence of various genres such as horn sections and jazz!
I think it has a taste that has not been seen in any of the songs we have released so far.
The ending themes, "Eien no Yakusoku" and "Bubbles," were written by MANYO, who has written many songs for us in the past, and are beautiful and fragile songs with the voices of a string quartet. I wrote the lyrics to all three songs myself, and although they are different types of songs, I think I have created songs that are uniquely my own.

─ What are your plans for the future?

On July 25, I will be releasing my first best album.
I hope to look back with you all on my progress since my solo debut in 2007.
I believe that this album will be one that even those who have recently discovered Kaori Oda will enjoy.
We are planning to hold release events in various locations, so please look forward to it!
