Tenka Ippin Akihabara Branch opens today, May 1, at the site of Akihabara MAD, which closed in February of this year.

The ramen chain restaurant "Tenka Ippin Akihabara" opened today, Tuesday, May 1.

The location is along Chuo-dori Avenue, near Suehirocho Station. It is the former site of "Variety Shop Mad" which was closed in February this year.

Tenka Ippin" is a popular ramen chain restaurant originating from Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. In addition to a choice of two soups, "kottari" (thick soup that coats the noodles like potage soup) and "light" (standard soy sauce-based soup), some stores offer "yatai no aji," a mixture of "kottari" and "light" soups, and "ajiasane," miso ramen with an adjustable soup thickness (Akihabara). (The Akihabara store does not offer "Ajisane").

(The Akihabara shop does not offer "flavorsane.") The shop was originally scheduled to open in mid-April, but the official website announced that the opening would be postponed to May.
