The first 10 minutes of "Space Battleship Yamato 2202" Chapter 5 will be shown for the first time on terrestrial TV! Special program to be broadcast on May 19!

A special TV program will be broadcast in commemoration of "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love Chapter 5, Purgatory Arc," which will begin limited-time theatrical screenings at 35 theaters nationwide on May 25, 2018 (Friday).

Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" is a sequel to "Space Battleship Yamato 2199," a remake of the classic "Space Battleship Yamato" that became a hot topic. As the title suggests, the film is inspired by the 1978 animated film "Farewell Space Battleship Yamato: Warriors of Love." Three years after Yamato completes its voyage to Iskandar, the threat of the battle nation of Gatlantis, the Imperial Star, looms over a recovering Earth, and the Yamato crew faces a new voyage to confront it. The executive producer is Shoji Nishizaki, the director is Nobuyoshi Habara of "Blue Sky Fafner," the assistant director is Makoto Kobayashi of "Space Battleship Yamato: Resurrection," and the series composition and screenplay are by Harutoshi Fukui of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC. Chapter 4, "Tenmei Arc," the latest in the series, will be screened from January 27, 2018 (Saturday). The fifth chapter, "Purgatory Arc," will be released on May 25, 2018 (Fri.).

To commemorate the release of "Purgatory Arc", "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Chapter 5" will be screened on May 25, 2018. A Special Program of Love" will be broadcast on May 19 at 19:00 on TOKYO MX.

In the program, the first 10 minutes of Chapter 5 "Purgatory Arc" will be shown for the first time on terrestrial wave before the theatrical release. In addition, an interview with Hiroshi Kamiya, who plays the role of Key Man, and digest footage of the first four chapters screened so far will also be broadcast. The program will be broadcast on TOKYO MX as well as BS11 on May 20 at 23:30.

On May 17 (Thu), the fastest advance screening of Chapter 5 will be held with voice actors Houko Kuwashima and Tomoyo Kurosawa on stage. On May 18 (Fri.), the first chapter will be broadcast for free on AbemaTV.
