The key visual for the completely new "YuYu Hakusho" anime has been unveiled! First anime adaptation of "TWO SHOTS" about the encounter between Kurama and Tobikage

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Yū Yu Hakusho TV anime adaptation, the "Yū Yu Hakusho 25th Anniversary Blu-ray BOX" will be released in four volumes in July 2018. The episode, staff, cast, and key visuals of the "completely new animation" included in the final volume, "Makai-hen," have been revealed.

YuYu Hakusho" is an anime work based on the popular comic series by Yoshihiro Togashi serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha). The main character, a delinquent boy named Urameshi Yusuke, dies in a car accident while trying to save a child. The story depicts Urameshi's efforts to protect the peace between the human world and the spirit world by defeating powerful enemies one after another along with Kuwabara, his bickering friend, and Kurama and Tobikage, whom he meets on a mission. 112 episodes were broadcast from October 1992 to January 1995, and a movie version was released in 1993 and 1994. In 1993 and 1994, the movie version was released.

This time, the episode, staff, cast, and key visuals of the "completely new animation" that will be included in the final volume "Makai-hen" of "YuYu Hakusho 25th Anniversary Blu-ray BOX," which will be released on October 26, 2018, have been revealed.

As in the TV anime, Noriyuki Abe will direct and studio Piero will produce the animation. The main cast members are the same as in the TV anime: Nozomu Sasaki (Yusuke Urameshi), Shigeru Chiba (Kazuma Kuwabara), Emi Ogata (Kurama), and Shuyuki Hiyama (Tobikage). The key visual of Kurama and Tobikage standing side by side is very promising.

In addition, "YuYu Hakusho in J-WORLD TOKYO Re", an event to celebrate the release of "YuYu Hakusho 25th Anniversary Blu-ray BOX", will be held at J-WORLD TOKYO in Tokyo from June 5, 2018 (Tuesday) to July 13, 2018 (Friday).
