The most sparkling song to start this spring! Interview with "Kiratto Pri☆Chan" theme song "Kiratto Start" sung by Run Girls, Run!

Run Girls, Run!", a fresh voice actress unit consisting of Koko Hayashi, Yuka Morishima, and Nanami Atsugi, who just debuted last year, will release their second single "Kiratto Start" as early as May 2, 2018.

The song is the opening theme for the TV anime "Kiratto Pri☆Chan," which has been airing on TV since April. It is a cute and sparkling pop tune.

We asked Ranga to give us a quick answer about the new song, which is perfect for the starting season of spring!

This is a song that is unique to us right now!

─ ─ What was your impression when you first heard "Kirakto Start"?

Koko Hayashi (Hayashi): I thought it was a very "Pretty Series" song. Many of the songs in the "Pretty Series" are full of energy and sparkling music that girls love. Inheriting that lineage, the song's tone is cheerful and the lyrics are also energizing, so we were happy to be able to sing this kind of song ourselves. At the same time, we felt a sense of responsibility to sing the theme song of the "Pretty Series.

Yuka Morishima (Yuka Morishima) When I heard this song, I thought it was so groovy that my body moved on its own, and I was already looking forward to singing it at the live performance. Kakeru x Kakeru" and "Slide Ride" are songs that convey the heat and coolness of running through the streets, and I was thrilled to be able to sing a cute song as the third song.

Nanami Atsugi (Nami Atsugi): We have sung many rock songs in the past, so I thought we would get another Ranga-like rock song, but this time the tone was exactly like the opening song of the "Pretty Series". I was happy to hear an introduction that was similar to the openings of the past "Pretty Series.

The lyrics are filled with elements that push the backs of dreaming girls, which has been an important part of the "Pretty Series" series! I was so happy that we could sing the opening song of the "Pretty Series," which I had really longed for.

───The title of the song includes the word "start," which must have been linked to your debut last year and your fresh start, didn't it?

Hayashi: As the song is called "Kirakkoto Hajime," I think we were able to show the energy and hard work of our newcomers in this song. I also feel that this song is a starting point in the sense that it will give us a chance to reach a new audience, such as small children who will be exposed to music for the first time.

Morishima We have been working together as the three of us for about six months now, and at first we were often nervous as we were doing many things for the first time, but I think we need to show more of ourselves from now on. The songs this time are filled with the feeling of "This is where we start! I thought that was the link to what we are doing now.

Atsugi: Yes. I think it is a song that is unique to our current situation.

Hayashi: Please tell us about the lyrics and other memorable phrases.

Hayashi: The lyrics are such that we, who are supposed to be cheering you up, are actually encouraged. I hope that through this song, we can become people who can cheer you up, even if only a little.

Morishima: Like Hayamaru (Hayashi), I, too, am encouraged by this song as a singer, and I hope to spread that encouragement to everyone.

Atsugi: I always had a secret desire to become a voice actor, but I couldn't say much about it to the people around me. In this song, there is a part that says "I want to be popular, I want to be excited, and I always hid it.

─ The music video seems to be a lot of fun, with the three of you shopping and eating sweets together.

Morishima: We started shooting early in the morning, and it was actually quite cold. I had experienced shooting in heavy snow for "Slide Ride," so I thought I could stand it this time, but it was still cold (laughs). But the first scene we shot, in which the three of us walked along the road together, was shot while talking and eating delicious food, so we gradually warmed up, and it was a fun and memorable shoot.

─ What did the three of you talk about?

Morishima: It was really just idle talk. There were stores lined up along the street, and we would look at their show windows and say things like, "Oh, that outfit would look good on Hayamaru.

Hayashi: It was early in the morning, so it was still dark. We were filming in the dark, but just as we were filming the scene where they were eating the parfait, the sun came out and it was really dazzling (laughs). (Laughs.) That was the lip scene of "I want to be popular" and I was squinting my eyes because of the light hitting my face. I really didn't like that (laugh). (Laughs) Since it was a solo lip scene, I wanted to open my eyes and look cute in the shot. ......

Morishima But if you watch this music video, fans can see a rare image of Hayamaru squinting and looking glazed over!

Hayashi I wonder who would want to see that kind of expression (laughs). There is also a scene where the three of us take purikura together, and since it was the first time we had taken purikura together, I asked "What pose should we make? or "What should we do with the doodles? It was really fun, like we were playing together.

Atsugi: Also, Mocchi (Morishima) took his own phone and asked Hayamaru, "How do you like this picture? "Isn't this picture of me cute? I thought it was great because it showed Mocchi as usual.

─ So you were able to see Mocchi's true face during the filming.

She is growing up while watching the backs of her seniors whom she admires!

───The coupling song "Prima Donna? Memorial! is the theme song of "Pripara & Kiratto Pri☆Chan the Movie: Kirakira Memorial Live.

Hayashi: I think it is the culmination of the "Pretty Series" up to now, and the lyrics include the titles of the series, and the line "Future me is the best" is a line from "Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future! I was moved by the lyrics. This song helps us understand the story of the Pretty Rhythm series, and like "Kirakitto Start," I think this song makes girls dream and imagine "What do I want to be? What is Donna Kira Kira? Doki-Doki Donna? I think the song encourages little girls to think about what kind of adult they want to become and what kind of job they want to have.

Morishima I think this song has a different cuteness from "Kiratto Start," and I think this song has an elegant cuteness. As Hayamaru said, it has titles from previous generations such as "Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream" and "Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future," so we would like to connect the history built up by our predecessors in the "Pretty Series" up to now.

Atsugi: The lyrics are filled with the history of the "Pretty Series" up to now, and fans who have seen the series up to now will often feel like, "Isn't that what this song is about? For fans who have seen the series up until now, I think there are many times when they feel like, "Isn't that what that song is about? I like "Pripara" a lot, and "Promise! The promise we make to each other becomes the rhythm." The lyrics, "That's where the team is formed, that's where the live starts! I can't get enough of it (laughs). (Laughs.) So, for fans of the series, I think it is a very passionate song.

On the other hand, for young children who have dreams, many things are new to them. We, too, have become voice actors and often wonder, "Is this Donna? So I think you can relate to the girls who are just starting out and trying hard to achieve their dreams in this song.

─ In the TV anime "Kiratto Pri☆Chan," Ms. Hayashi plays the role of Mirai Momoyama and Ms. Atsugi plays the role of Rinka Aoba. Could you tell us about some of the memorable episodes you had during postrecording?

Hayashi: It's not easy to play the main character in a big project like the "Pretty Series. It was also the first time for me to work in postrecording with such great seniors as Miyu Kubota, Yu Serizawa, Yuki Wakai, Suzuko Mimori, and Kanae Ito, so I was very nervous at first. Moreover, in the first episode, there was a lot of interaction with Kubota (Miyu), so I was very nervous ....... So during the recording of the first episode, I couldn't perform well at first and had to redo my performance many times, which pushed the recording time back. I was so shocked and depressed that I felt I was so inadequate. Then Mr. Kubota came to me and said, "We couldn't do it at all at first, either," which I thought was very kind and cool. He has been working on "Pripara" for a long time, so he was very reliable. I am very happy to be able to participate in the scene with the kindness of my seniors.

Atsugi: I was also very nervous because I have little experience in dubbing, but the seniors gave very energetic and lively performances, so I felt I had to keep up with them. I am learning a lot from them. Also, when I don't understand the accent of a word, Mr. Kubota gives me advice. I still have a long way to go, but I can learn a lot from my seniors, who are very reliable, and watching their performances makes me think that acting is wonderful.

─ By the way, is there a senior voice actor that you admire?

Hayashi: I really like Nana Mizuki. I like both singing and acting, so I respect her activities as a voice actor and a singer.

Atsugi: Yuu Serizawa of i☆Ris. Also, Miyuki Sawashiro. I respect her for being able to perform a wide range of roles.

Morishima I respect Yukari Tamura. I want to be a princess too! (laugh) I think it's wonderful that you have your own unique view of the world, and I admire your cuteness.
