Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory" Episodes 2-3: Peaceful Daily Life Turns to Battle

A clash between Mithril and Amalgam became inevitable in the first episode.

In the second and third episodes, the Amalgam, which has been unsuccessful so far, finally goes on the offensive. The main focus is on securing Whispered Chidori Kaname and attacking Sousuke Sagara, a Mithril mercenary assigned to escort her. In addition, there is an attack on the Merida Island base, which is the base of "Tua Ha de Danang," the Western Pacific Squadron of Mithril's Operations Division, to which Sagara belongs.

The escape of Sagara and Chidori was especially thrilling. The intense gunfights that unfolded in peaceful scenes of everyday life, such as quiet residential areas and parks. There was also a car chase (in bold 3D), and the tension-filled scenes continued to unfold. You can't take your eyes off it! Finally, Sagara is joined by his partner, "Arbalest," a dedicated arm slave. Finally, we can breathe a sigh of relief after the warriors' turn, which is truly an oni ni kanabou state of affairs.

Chidori tells Sagara, who has temporarily escaped the predicament with Arbalest, that she is feeling fear and anxiety. Then, when Sagara was able to tell her that he still loves you and his feelings for you, her answer was too cool. Still, the destructive power of Satsuki Yuki's voice in scenes like this is amazing (that's a compliment). Her exquisite voice tone, with a hint of agitation in her rational and calm words. It's a pleasure to listen to!

The end comes to this fleeting pause. Kyoko Tokiwa, Chidori's classmate and best friend, is taken hostage by the amalgam. Can Sagara and Chidori rescue Tokiwa?

Meanwhile, the Merida Island base where Sagara is a member of Mithril's Western Pacific Squadron, "Tuaha de Danang," is also attacked. Following a missile attack, the base is surrounded by the giant AS "Behemoth," which appeared in the first season of the TV anime, putting them in a desperate predicament. Mithril launches a counterattack by deploying its main AS "M9," but ...... The retreat from the base is almost certain. Now it is just a matter of how much time they can buy.

And the AS battle scene is a must-see. This time, it is a behemoth with a lambda driver versus an M9 without a lambda driver. The overwhelming difference in size and firepower makes it seem like there is no contest, but the M9 uses its mobility to disorient its opponent. Its unique movements are motion-captured? The movements are not only robot-like and jerky, but also human-like and smooth. Behemoth, on the other hand, attracts me with its sturdy and massive appearance. I don't think there are any major changes in design compared to the first season, but perhaps it is the difference in texture, including the coloring. It looks great.

The attack on Mithril continues. When Behemoth, which had become a landing force, was cleared to some extent, Mithril's air defense network was destroyed. As if waiting for the right moment, the airborne attackers will come in this time. Will it be the soldiers who descend or the life-sized AS that attacked Sagara? What will happen!

When I learned in the second episode's avant-garde that the cause of the communication failure was solar wind, I thought that was Armageddon. I thought what was about to begin was a natural disaster class "XXX destruction" type development. In the second and third episodes, there were many scenes of peaceful daily life being taken away in an instant, and I felt that a relentless battle was about to begin.
