LOST SONG" Episode 2-3 Thoughts: A harsh fate befalls the two divas! What heals them in such a situation is singing and comedic development!

Sorry for the wait!

We are back with our "Lost Song" viewing review, this time bringing you episodes 2 and 3 in one fell swoop.

Episode 2 "Song of Departure

Suddenly, the village of Dandera is burned to the ground by the Royal Army. Feenis, a diva adored by the people for her mysterious singing powers. Signs of war loom over the kingdom, and a plot unfolds behind the scenes. And the mystery of Rin, a girl who can sing and also has mysterious powers,......, and various other situations were discussed in the first episode.

In the second episode, the story focuses on two girls, Lynn and Finis. Continuing from the previous episode, it depicts the beginning of an epic story.

This episode depicts the unsettled situation surrounding the kingdom. An assassin from a hostile nation is approaching the heart of the kingdom. The assassins infiltrate even places where women are forbidden, as the power of song possessed by Finis is said to influence even the victory or defeat of the war. However, it was Leobold who stopped them! He has always been handsome and moderate, and this incident leads him to be appointed as a guardian knight of Finis.

The birth of the best couple, a handsome man and a beautiful woman?

However, Prince Rude does not take kindly to this, and plans to use Finis to expand his power.

Also, General Beaumors of the Royal Army is also in the dark. It is revealed that he is the one who tried to assassinate Leobold in the first episode. Is it a foreign enemy that Leobold should fight, or is it a bug in the lion's den? ...... It seems that the situation is not simple.

On the other hand, Lynn and Al have drifted from the village of Dandera to a human village. They are rescued by a kind innkeeper and finally have a meal.

What they see is Pony Goodwright, a court minstrel in a very sexy costume. She is played by Chiaki Takahashi, aka Cheer King. The pony is a perfect fit for the role, and you can't help but think that the lines are probably just guesswork (......).

The pony seems to be trying to get into some trouble and overcharge for lodging. So, instead of paying for the lodging, he decides to perform a song. As expected of the Cheerleader King, he sings very well! He sings very well. Lynn's song is a perfect accompaniment. Lynn and Pony's singing voices echoed with the simple melody and sound of the song.

The main cast of this film was chosen for their singing ability as well, and when you see scenes like this, you will understand what I mean. The persuasive power of the singing is incomparable!

Lynn gradually regains her energy through singing, but then, to her surprise, the royal army appears. It seems that the female general had secretly reported the bard hunters to the royal army, and the group witnessed her accepting the reward!

The second episode fins at ...... to find out what fate awaits Lynn and her friends.

Episode 3 "Song of Adoration

The third episode begins with a tumultuous start. The drama finally begins to move in a big way.

Let's start with the story of the fleeing Lynn and her friends.

Lynn is depressed because she says that when she sings, bad things happen to her. However, Pony denies her words. Lynn's song cheers people up, she urges.

The royal army catches up with them! Lynn sings a healing song to Al, who is injured in the battle, but the Royal Army witnesses it. This leads to the capture of not only the bard's pony, but also Lynn by the army.

Lynn and her friends are captured and carried away on a ship. However, thanks to the efforts of Al and Pony, they succeed in stealing the ship and escaping. Lynn and his men go ashore. Pony, thinking that "she might be able to create the power of this song," teaches Lynn, who can sing the song of the spirits, a new song, and they begin to fight back.

The new song that Lynn sings is a storm song. It is a very different sound from the gentle songs of the past, a rocking sound with a beat, and a violent wind blows up and wipes out the Royal City army. The combination of the uplifting music and the flashy visuals quickly raised the tension on the viewer's side! The viewer is drawn into the scene.

The power of the song hidden in Lynn is revealed in ......, and the mystery continues to grow more and more mysterious.

And then there is the Finis side. The dramatic development unfolds on the other side.

Finis is ordered to sing a song to inspire the soldiers on the battlefield. She spends a short rest with Leobold. But, or perhaps it is too late. Again, an assassin approaches her.

"How does he know our movements?" Leobold is puzzled. Where is the information leaking from ......? Is it Prince Rude? Or is it Korte, the maid of honor who has somehow disappeared? We, the viewers, are also reading too much into the story along with the characters.

As a result, the two of them hide out alone until morning and are finally rescued by the royal army, but Leobold is accused of endangering Finis and is suddenly dismissed as a guardian knight by Prince Rude. He is also ordered to the front line. Is the prince the mastermind behind all this? The suspenseful development is quite thrilling.

Also, the general continues to move uneasily. He goes to see "someone" who is holding him prisoner. Since he speaks with honorifics, I wonder if he is originally from a noble family ......?

Finally, the pony tells us a shocking fact about the "power of song. There are four songs of the spirits in total. When you create the power of those songs, you have to cut your life in exchange. "I haven't even had a good meal yet! Lynn is shocked.

Indeed, Feenis was depicted in a scene where she vomited blood after singing. In contrast, Lynn said that the more she sings, the better she gets. Hmmm. How much of the lore is really true?

Lastly, I would like to mention an interesting point about this work. This film is basically a serious drama, but there are often comical scenes in between.

For example, when Pony gets upset at being called "old," or the aforementioned Lynn's character of a gourmand. If the story were all serious, it would be a bit tiring, but by interspersing amusing interactions between the characters, we can take a break from the seriousness of the story.

Such a wide range of emotions is one of the charms of this work, and I would like to continue to pay attention to this aspect of the story!
