TIGER & BUNNY", a Hollywood live-action film project, to be produced under a new partnership!

New moves have been announced for the Hollywood live-action film adaptation of the popular anime series "TIGER & BUNNY," which depicts the exploits of heroes who fight with corporate logos on their backs.

The TV anime "TIGER & BUNNY" gained great popularity in 2011, depicting the activities of a unique group of "heroes" called "NEXT" who protect the peace of the city by carrying the logos of their sponsors.
In the "Announcement: Your Choice Top 100 Anime" broadcast in May 2017, the series was voted as one of the best 100 anime of all time! Your Choice Anime Best 100" broadcast in May 2017. In addition, "Akemae! Seiyu Daishu", the two main characters who form a buddy team, Kaburaki T. Toratetsu aka Wild Tiger and Barnaby Brooks Jr. came in at No. 1 and No. 5, respectively. (*Both programs were NHK BS Premium special programs commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of animation in Japan.) Six years have passed since the TV broadcasts ended, and the series is still immensely popular.

While "TIGER & BUNNY" is once again attracting attention, a new move toward a Hollywood live-action film adaptation of "TIGER & BUNNY" has been announced by Namco Bandai Pictures Inc.

In addition to the previously announced Imagine Entertainment, the company has formed new partnerships with Global Road Entertainment and Weed Road Pictures for the Hollywood live-action film adaptation of the original "TIGER & BUNNY" anime series. The screenplay will be written by Elemental.

The script will be written by Ellen Shanman and produced by Masayuki Ozaki of Namco Bandai Pictures, Brian Glazer, Ron Howard and Erica Huggins of Imagine Entertainment, and Global Road Entertainment's worldwide production team. Lynn Harris, who heads the worldwide production division of Global Road Entertainment, and Akiva Goldsman of Weed Road Pictures will also be involved in the project.

Akiva Goldsman is one of Hollywood's leading creators, having won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for "A Beautiful Mind," which he co-wrote with director Ron Howard. In addition to his work as a screenwriter, he has also worked extensively as a creative producer on "Transformers: The Last Knight King" and as an executive producer on the TV series "Star Trek: Discovery.

We can hardly wait to hear more about this new step toward a Hollywood live-action film, and now we have received comments from each of them, so let us introduce them to you.
