Nobunaga's Ninja: Anegawa/Ishiyama Arc - Episode 56 & 57: Naotaka Magara vs. Tadakatsu Honda, a showdown of fierce generals! This one will make you cry!

The third season of "Nobunaga's Ninja " is a short anime based on a four-frame manga of the same name (created by Naoki Shigeno) serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha), and it has many hidden fans due to its excellence as a gag anime about the Warring States period, The third season will finally depict the "Battle of Anegawa" and the "Battle of Ishiyama," two of the most important battles on Nobunaga's road to unifying the country. If you are a history fan, you absolutely have to watch it! This is a must-see for history buffs.

This review will focus on episodes 56 and 57, the climax of the "Battle of Anegawa," in which a fierce Asakura general, Naotaka Magara, and a fierce Tokugawa general, Tadakatsu Honda, fight one-on-one. These two episodes are truly a hard-hitting content of the Sengoku battle, focusing on the battle between these two fierce generals, with almost no gag elements, which is rare even in this work. (Chidori doesn't even appear!!!)

First, in episode 56, "Kiken na Futari ", Honda Tadakatsu of the Tokugawa army confronts Magara Naotaka, who is wielding a large sword and fighting a lion's share of the battle. These two warriors are fierce representatives of the Asakura and Tokugawa armies, respectively, and can be called "war fools" in a sense. The direct confrontation between these two war fools is so cool that it makes you think, "This is what a Han must be like! The scene of these two war fools facing each other is so cool that it makes you think, "This is what a Han must be like!

This is followed by episode 57, "Honbun of the Samurai," which depicts the final efforts of Magara Naotaka, who is alone in the midst of the Asakura army, which is cornered by the Tokugawa forces and beginning its retreat. Yamazaki Yoshiie of the Asakura army desperately tries to save Magara, but it is already too late. Magara was hit by arrows and spears from all directions, and was wounded to the bone. Honda was furious at this situation, saying, "You are interfering with a single combat! Honda is furious. And then comes Magara's heroic end, which cannot be seen without tears! Wow, that's the coolest thing ever, Magara! Is this really a gag anime? This is the reason I can't stop watching "Nobunaga's Ninja"! Looking forward to the next episode!
