From the live-action film "Gintama," which became the No. 1 hit of 2017, a character visual of Jiro Sato, whose role had not been announced after the announcement of the sequel production, even though his appearance information had been released following that of Shun Oguri, who plays Gintoki.

Gintama" is a popular manga series by Hideaki Sorachi that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2004. Set in the parallel world of Edo (Tokyo), the manga is a painful entertainment that depicts gags, spectacular action, and deep human emotions.
The live-action version of "Gintama," directed by Yuichi Fukuda and starring Shun Oguri and featuring the most superb cast ever assembled, became a blockbuster hit in 2017, grossing 3.84 billion yen at the final box office and becoming the No. 1 live-action Japanese film of 2017.

It has now been announced that its sequel, "Gintama 2 (tentative)," will be released on August 17 (Friday).

Following the recent announcement of Shun Oguri playing Gintoki and Jiro Sato playing an unknown role, it was announced that Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura will be played by Masaki Sugata and Kanna Hashimoto, respectively. The poster visual released at the same time shows the second film in the series, and while it expresses the sense of a big production, it is a "Gintama"-esque image of the three "Bankotsuya" members, who are at their own pace and not even fussed about it, posing with a peace pose in reference to "Gintama 2 (tentative)". The poster is a "rule-breaking" poster in the "Gintama" style.
The special video, which has yet to be titled and is currently being edited to rave reviews, has been made to look like an X-rated movie, taking twice as much time and effort (time and money) as usual.
