Nao Nagasawa, Ayumi Kinoshita and Ayumi Beppu! Toei Special Effects Fan Club original work "Hero Mama★League", interview with legendary female warriors who came back!

An original work "Hero Mama★League" will be distributed on Toei Special Effects Fan Club on "Mother's Day" (Sunday, May 13) as much as members can watch.

We interviewed Nao Nagasawa (Nanami Nono (maiden name)/Hariken Blue), Ayumi Kinoshita (Marika Reimon (maiden name)/Deca Yellow), and Ayumi Beppu (Yoshika Kozu (maiden name)/Magic Pink)!

We asked the three, who are also real mom friends, for their comments on real "moms" raising children.

Nao Nagasawa, "Hurricane Blue," Ayumi Kinoshita, "Deka Yellow," and Ayumi Beppu, "Maji Pink," Super Sentai heroines from the past, dream together! are now realized!

───What did you think of the first preview?

Ayumi Beppu (Beppu): I didn't expect the atmosphere to be so cute with sparkling music and sound effects.

Nao Nagasawa (Nagasawa) That's right.

Beppu Even the video was interesting, even though it didn't cost much money.

─ ─ (All laugh)

Beppu The ominous sound of the shadows in the sky.

Ayumi Kinoshita (Kinoshita): Like the sense of doubt about the direction of the clouds.

Nagasawa There were many funny parts in the film. The scene where Yoshika gets into a mess makes me laugh, too.

Kinoshita I love that scene.

Beppu Jasmine's commentary was funny too!

Nagasawa In the last scene, I saw it from a mom's point of view rather than a hero's. I cried during the scene with the child even though I knew the story. I cried when I read the script (laughs). I wanted to be a hero even after I became a mother, so this film was a fulfillment of many of my dreams.

Kinoshita: It was Beppu who cried on set after the shoot, wasn't it?

Beppu: Moms are all nameless heroes, aren't they?

Beppu: No one praises them.

Beppu I was happy that they picked up on that. I was surprised that they made the script like this. I am personally pleased, and I hope other mothers will see it too. I want to say to other mothers who are also working hard, "You are all sparkling too! I want to say to other mothers who are also working hard, "You are all sparkling!

───Did you have to improvise this time?

Kinoshita: We had a tight shooting schedule, so there was no improvisation at all. We read the script before shooting and decided how we would act together before shooting.

───In spite of that, I got the impression that everyone played their roles freely.

Beppu: That's thanks to the wonderful script you wrote for us.

Kinoshita: We read the script together during the waiting time during filming, and we sometimes overdid it (laughs).

Nagasawa We were having so much fun that we were doing too much. But that allowed us to experiment and get a feel for the other's tempo.

Beppu: It was really fun.

Beppu: You talk about it so deeply, but what was it like on set during the filming?

Kinoshita: It was fun, even though it was work.

Beppu: It was like a rewarding shoot.

Ideas that came out of fighting as a "hero

─ I heard that you came up with the idea for this film through the Toei Special Effects Fan Club's original program "Yamamoto Kohei's Ninja Road".

Kinoshita: I may have been the one who suggested it, but it was Nao who gave it proper shape.

Nagasawa When we were interviewed about what kind of hero we would like to have, Ayumi said, "Why not a mama hero? Ayumi said, "A mama hero would be nice. My partner (Kohei Yamamoto) heard that and told Mr. Tsukada (producer Hideaki Tsukada) about it, and he said, "Let's do it! He said, "Let's do it!

(laughs) ─ So the decision was made very quickly. How did you feel when the decision was actually made?

Nagasawa: All I could say was, "Yes! That's all I could say.

Beppu: This is the first time since "Ninja Sentai Hurricaneger: 10 YEARS AFTER" that Nao's proposal took shape, wasn't it?

Kinoshita This is the second time since "10 YEARS".

Nagasawa Actually, after "10 YEARS," we went to submit many, many projects, and many, many of them were rejected.

Kinoshita I see.

Beppu: That many?

Nagasawa The number of rejected projects is just amazing (laughs). (laughs). Among them, I have been allowed to work on a project that was a hit in the "Kohei Yamamoto's Ninja Road" series.

─ ─ In this film, Hideya Tawada, aka Star Ninninger from "Shuriken Sentai Ninninger" (15 years), plays the role of a kindergarten teacher.

Beppu I wonder if there are teachers like that?

Nagasawa I haven't met one yet.

─ ─ When you think of kindergarten teachers, are they still mostly women?

Nagasawa: Most male teachers are athletic and dependable.

Kinoshita They wear short sleeves even in winter and are very physical.

Nagasawa: I feel that having a teacher like that gives me a goal to make myself even just a little bit more beautiful, and I feel like I can be energetic as well.

─ ─ In addition, there is a secret guest character in the show, but did you know he was going to appear in the show?

Nagasawa: I had no idea. It just so happened that he came to visit us at the filming site.

Beppu: "You came? And I was like, "You're here?

Kinoshita: "Well, why don't you come out? (laughs).

I see...so it was a surprise appearance for everyone. The atmosphere changes when other members are on the stage, doesn't it?

Nagasawa I really appreciate it.

I felt a new sense of respect for the suit actors when I saw them in action wearing their hero suits.

───What were your impressions after wearing the hero suit for the first time in a while?

Beppu It is actually rare for me to wear a hero suit.

Kinoshita Did you have a chance to wear it quite a bit for Hurricane?

Nagasawa Yes, because it was a work in which I had opportunities to wear it, I had everything made in my size, so once I said I would wear it, I had to maintain a body shape that would allow me to wear it at all times, and that was the hard part.

Kinoshita That's a lot of pressure, isn't it? Even though it was postpartum.

Nagasawa I'm glad I was able to wear it even though it was postpartum (laughs).

─ ─ I think it is also rare to work with other heroes when they are so far apart in age.

Nagasawa I was impressed to see the two of them in their suits up close. In the scene in the story where they are transforming, they (Kinoshita and Beppu) are wearing masks as well.

I didn't realize they were wearing masks. I thought you were the suit actors.

Kinoshita: That's right.

Beppu: I thought a professional would do it, but I was surprised to hear, "It's you? I thought.

───How did you feel when you tried it on?

Beppu: It was painful (laughs).

Nagasawa The masks are surprisingly painful.

Beppu It is unbelievable to think that the suit actors are performing intense action scenes wearing those masks. I heard that today's suits are even more painful because they are even more confidential, so for the first time in more than a decade, I respected the actors again. I didn't know it was that hard back then, so after this shoot, I couldn't help but text them, "Did you do the shoot wearing this? I emailed him after the filming.

───Do you watch Nichiasa, which is currently airing?

Kinoshita/Nagasawa: Yes, I watch it.

Beppu: If you have children, you watch it, don't you?

Nagasawa My son is a boy, so he is totally into it, and he also goes to see G Rosso performances.

─ Do your children want to be heroes in the future?

Kinoshita: He seems to think he can become a hero naturally because he is around so many heroes. They say things like, "I think I'll be a bird ranger.

Beppu: I've been thinking about what I should do if my daughter someday says she wants to be a hero. ......

───Why?

Beppu I am lucky that I was accepted, but being a hero is a very hard thing to achieve. I had wanted to be a hero since I was a child, but what if, when I finally set my sights on it, I realized that it was actually a very narrow gate (......) and became depressed?

Kinoshita Someday you will learn the reality that "it's a very thorny path .......

Nagasawa But thanks to that, they will think, "My mom is amazing! But isn't that what makes them think, "Mommy is amazing!

Beppu I am anxious about what the children will think.

Kinoshita I want them to notice. I want them to respect me more (laughs). (laughs) They think, "Mom, you're nothing!" They think I can be on TV too. She thinks she can be on TV too.

─ When did you tell your children that you were a hero?

Nagasawa I've been showing them since before they can remember.

Kinoshita: It's a surprisingly natural process to tell them.

Nagasawa I think the children think that mom is a hero just like dad goes to work.

Kinoshita I don't hear them say, "Oh, Mom, you're a Decaranger? I don't have that kind of thing. Since I was really young, people around me would tell me, "Look, Mom's in the movie.

─ ─ Surprisingly, they accept it without being surprised.

Nagasawa But in my son's case, he gets very excited when he goes to Ayumi's house. He gets more excited about the other heroes than I do (laughs).

Kinoshita Yes, it is easy to forget about mom.

Beppu: I think they leave my mom out of it a bit.

─ ─ I guess your children get excited because they have already seen the films in which you appear. You said, "I get excited when we go out to play." I think this is the first time the three of you will be performing together in a film. Did you know each other before you started working together on this film?

Kinoshita: We all know each other even though we are from different generations in Sentai.

Nagasawa In Sentai, even if we don't work together on the same film, we all have a connection somewhere and know each other.

Beppu: I think we are senior and junior in the big frame of Sentai series, so when I meet them at some other site, I feel like "Oh, my family is here! When I meet them at another site, I feel as if they are my relatives, and they are all very kind to me.

Kinoshita: It feels like a family.

Beppu I am grateful that there are people like that in the entertainment industry.

─ I have the impression that the squadron fights as a team. In this story, too, I got the impression that they fight as a team of mothers.

Nagasawa The children are close in age, so they are both mothers and actor friends, and I am very grateful to be able to act with such friends.

Kinoshita That's really true.

Beppu: Yes, yes.

───Having been filming for a while, was there anything that had changed since then?

Nagasawa The audio was recorded at the same time?

Beppu: Before, there was no sound recording, so we didn't include the voices of the scene.

Kinoshita I was thinking that maybe they would do postrecording, but they didn't.

Beppu: Some of the staff from back then were there, and some were new, but the atmosphere was the same.

Kinoshita The cameraman was with us, and the assistant director was someone I knew.

Beppu It was like coming home.

Nagasawa I felt relaxed. It was a different kind of fun from other scenes, because it was a role I have been playing for a long time.

Beppu You can do it with confidence.

Kinoshita Yes, and I could read the other actor's performance, knowing what he would do.

───When you look back on it now, how do you feel about it?

Kinoshita It was hard work.

Nagasawa: Of course it was difficult because of the early mornings, the cold, and the heat, but it was also fun.

─ As an actual working mother, were there any parts of the film that you really sympathized with or admired?

Beppu: It reminded me of how I admire moms who don't compromise on self-polishing. When I saw the line "I want to go to an esthetic salon, get my nails done, and go to yoga," it brought back the feelings I had deep down inside.

Nagasawa Yes, yes. I usually don't have time to think that far.

Kinoshita That's because I think that's normal. I usually just give up and say, "That's the way everyone else is. But this work made me realize, "I'm sorry, I've been lazy! Nanami made me realize that. I felt sympathy for her as a hero. If you go into battle with a child, how do you change diapers?

Nagasawa: You have to do what you do every day while fighting.

Beppu I like the transforming suit for breastfeeding (laughs).

─ ─ "Akiba Research Institute" is a medium with many male users, but could you tell us about the appeal of this work for men and for women who are working hard at work, housework, and childcare?

Beppu: This is a shout-out to those heroes who have no name: mothers! This time, we are playing the roles, but we are all the same, so let's do our best! We are all the same, so let's do our best! I would be happy if the men who watch this film could learn, even if only a little, that there are many women who are going through such hardships.

Nagasawa The heroines of "Hurricane Rangers," "Decaranger," and "Majiranger" have become mothers, and the story depicts how they fight day to day as mothers and heroes, so please watch it.

Kinoshita: I think ordinary mothers can relate to this work, and I think it will also make those who have watched Sentai up until now think, "It would be interesting to have a nursing suit.
