The first day of the opening of "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love Chapter 5, Purgatory Arc," which will begin limited-time theatrical screenings at 35 theaters nationwide on May 25, 2018 (Friday), has been set for a stage greeting, and the " Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" series will be broadcast on TV this fall!

Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" is a sequel to "Space Battleship Yamato 2199," a remake of the classic "Space Battleship Yamato" that became a hot topic. As the title suggests, the film is inspired by the 1978 animated film "Farewell Space Battleship Yamato: Warriors of Love." Three years after Yamato completes its voyage to Iskandar, the threat of the battle nation Imperial Star Gatlantis looms over a recovering Earth, and the Yamato crew faces a new voyage to confront it. The executive producer is Shoji Nishizaki, the director is Nobuyoshi Habara of "Blue Sky Fafner," the assistant director is Makoto Kobayashi of "Space Battleship Yamato: Resurrection," and the series composition and screenplay are by Harutoshi Fukui of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC. Chapter 4, "Tenmei Arc," the latest in the series, will be screened from January 27, 2018 (Saturday). The fifth chapter, "Purgatory Arc," will be released on May 25, 2018 (Fri.).

First, Harutoshi Fukui (series composition) and Tomohiro Yoshida (sound director) will give opening-day greetings on May 25 (Fri.), the first day of the film's release. They will talk about behind-the-scenes details of "Chapter 5" and future developments.

On the following day, Saturday the 26th, Koichi Yamadera (Abert Dessler), Hiroshi Kamiya (Klaus Keiman), Koki Uchiyama (Mill), Ayayo Takagaki (Saki Todo), Tomoyo Kurosawa (Mina Ichise), Eriko Nakamura (Mikage Kiryu), Nobuyoshi Habara (Director) and Fukui will give their greetings.
