Raiatto Games held a press conference to announce the new competition mode "CLASH" for the PC MOBA "League of Legends". At the presentation, details of "CLASH" and the participation of "Team Perfect Body" led by action actor Kane Kosugi were announced.

League of Legends" is a 5-on-5 MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) in which players control a character called "Champion" and aim to destroy the enemy's base "Nexus" in cooperation with their friends. The game is a combination of a strategy game and an ARPG, and with 100 million monthly active players (as of September 2016), it is currently the most popular online game in the world.

At the press conference held on May 18, 2018 at e-sports SQUARE AKIHABARA in Akihabara, Tokyo, details of the new game mode "CLASH," which will be implemented on May 25 (Friday), as well as the announcement that "Team Perfect The presentation also announced that "Team Perfect Body" led by Mr. Kane Cosugi will join the game.

Shuzaburo Nakao, a.k.a. "Shu" of Raiatto Games, took the stage at the presentation. First, he introduced the history of RYAT Games and the outline of "League of Legends". He also touched on the recent rise of e-sports, and announced that "League of Legends" had been selected as an official competition for the Asian Games.

Next, the new game mode "CLASH" was explained. In CLASH, players form five-person teams and compete in tournament-style competitions. The data of the opposing team is disclosed immediately before the match, giving players time to think about their strategies, and a "tier system" is employed to match teams of the same level as their own team. The game mode allows players to experience the atmosphere and tension of e-sports in a more "casual" and "familiar" way. The first "CLASH" tournament, "Demarcia Cup 1," will be held from Friday, May 25 to Sunday, May 27, and will be held every other Friday through Sunday thereafter.


In the latter half of the presentation, "Team Perfect Body," led by action actor Kane Kosugi, who is such a fan of "League of Legends" that he streams videos on Twitch, took the stage. Team Perfect Body" is a special team formed to participate in "CLASH. Members of the team include captain Kane Kosugi, game distributor Ishii Productions, freelance writer/commentator Hameco, Raiatto Games employee Shuzaburo Nakao aka "Shu," and actress Satomi Okubo (who was unable to attend the presentation).
