Director Mitsuo Iso's latest original anime "Extraterrestrial Shonen Shoujo," as well as a concept visual and synopsis drawn by Kenichi Yoshida, have been unveiled.

The story is set in space in 2015, when AI, the Internet, and SNS have become widespread. The film is said to be filled with the near-future universe imagined by Mr. Iso, including mobile terminals called "smart," humanoid robots, and drones. A large-scale accident occurs on a Japanese commercial station that opens in such a space, and the children left behind there overcome a number of crises.

Director Iso commented on the announcement of this new work, his first in 11 years.

I decided to make this film myself because we don't see many animated films set in space anymore. Space is already becoming a place where we can actually go, rather than a distant image that appears in science fiction. I wanted to depict the adventures experienced by boys thrown into such an environment as if they had actually been there." He also expressed his thoughts on the film and the universe.

The character design for the film will be done by Kenichi Yoshida, who has designed characters for the TV animations "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN" and "Gundam G Reconguista".

MD, an animation studio specializing in digital animation, will produce the animation, which includes the movies "Princess Hirune: The Unknown Watashi no Monogatari" and "CYBORG009 CALL OF JUSTICE".

Synopsis
